I had the sheer pleasure of dining at Matthew’s a week ago with my wife and two other couples. We go out to eat as a couple probably once a week. When we want a “dining experience” we go to Matthew’s. This idea, coupled with the yen for an excellent steak, takes us to Matthew’s. The service as always, is personalized friendly and efficient. The homemade salad dressings, sour cream for baked potato and desserts add to the charm of this family-owned gem. Everything is done perfectly. However, with sincere care, Matthew and his father, chef Horst, check on each table to make sure it is indeed perfect. Horst mentioned to me that he eats his steak “medium rare” when I asked. He said it is juicier and tastier. So I strayed from my normal “medium” preference, and man I was rewarded. What I always consider to be the “best steak in town” just got better. I ordered the 12 ounce Sirloin, it was medium rare, not raw, juicy and so flavorful! He takes such care in preparing the meat that there’s never any fat or gristle. So once again I left sated, my plate clean, and I can’t wait to return.
Excellent service and food is exceptional. Have been to Matthew's many times and it is a must for quality steaks and service. They have other options other than steak that are equally delicious. If you're looking for a great atmosphere and exceptional dining, this is where you should be.
We’ve been wanting to dine here for awhile and made a reservation for a birthday dinner. It was very quaint and enjoyable. The filet was also delicious! Make sure you make a reservation, they book quickly but are worth the try.
The steakhouse decor was awesome. The service by Matthew was excellent. He was always a step ahead! The food was good and priced well. The chef came out and greeted us which was a nice personal touch. The dessert was excellent which had personalized birthday wish on it for my boyfriend and it was so tastyThank you Matthew's Steakhouse for a great dining experience!
My guestsparty of 10 had an absolutely horrible experience at this restaurant. The waiter was disrespectful and they refused to sell the preferred steaks that were offered desserts at the end of their meal. We will be reporting the restaurant for the very horrible service and will be telling friends and family to no longer patronize there either. I'm utterly shocked as this was a drastic difference from our first experience and we will make sure people know about it. We texted the reservation line to let them know about our experience and they replied “customers like you are a complete nightmare for any restaurant.” I really hope they didn’t mean Black customers.
Great little gem of a restaurant, best steak restaurant around in Winter Garden area. Friendly staff, great food, great wine and great service. We have been numerous times and always had a great meal. Food is cooked to perfection. One of our top restaurants. Parking: Easy to park just around the back of the restaurant
Our favorite restaurant! The staff and atmosphere are second to none. We’ve tried most everything on the menu during our many visits and have enjoyed consistently delicious meals. If you haven’t enjoyed a meal at Matthew’s Steakhouse, you owe it to yourself to enjoy a meal at this fine establishment.
My family invited me to a Steak Dinner At a restaurant in Winter Garden, Florida On Saturday, November 19 for a special occasion. The restaurant is called Matthew‘s steakhouse. when we arrived and entered Matthews, we were welcomed to an amazing ambience. that was only the beginning. We ordered our particular steaks. I could not believe the filet mignon when it was presented to me. The steak was absolutely delicious, and the best that I have actually ever had. Our dinners were truly amazing from appetizer to dessert. I have been to a lot of steak restaurants in the Northeast as well as Florida but none will ever compare to Matthew‘s steakhouse. WOW! All we can say is wow! The best steak we have had in a long time. All of the food was perfect! The sour cream was homemade. We are super excited for a good steak house to open in Winter garden. They also have fantastic vegetarian options. They are family owned and it shows. The service was spot on. We didn't have a reservation but when we walked in on a Saturday night they were right on us to tell us we could be seated in 10 min so we grabbed a glass of wine. Can't wait to bring our family back.
Prepare to be amazed. Matthew’s Steakhouse is a wonderful family owned and operated restaurant serving delicious hand cut steaks, chicken and pork with the occasional German schnitzel and bratwurst. Be aware, the secret German spices used on the steaks are so tasty, its addictive. I have been a very satisfied patron of the Winters family for almost 20 years going back to their steakhouse in Ocoee and am lucky to have had so many amazing and delectable meals with this hard-working, lovely family. The steaks are hand cut by Horst every day and all of the salad dressings, sour cream and desserts are homemade and of the highest quality. The kitchen and cooking areas are spotless and constantly cleaned. This is my favorite restaurant and I love being able to relax with a German beer and let Matt, Horst and Gabi delight me with their superb culinary skills. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
