I am not the one to write reviews, but I am one that check reviews quite frequently when it comes to pretty much anything. I was left with no choice but to write a review for Matthew Collins, I will not refer to him as Dr. because I've lost all respect for him. Let's start from the beginning. I learned about Nash Obgyn by searching online via Google after learning that I was pregnant with my second child. I was pretty much satisfied with the cleanliness of the office and generally how nice the nurse and receptionist are. Early on in my pregnancy around four months pregnant when going to find out if we were having a baby boy or baby girl we learned that not only were we having another beautiful baby boy but our beautiful baby boy had complications. They presented the term CDH to us, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. This is where the intestines migrate into the chest cavity because there is a hole in the diaphragm and restricts lung growth. They advised us that we had the option to terminate our pregnancy because these babies have a 50/50 chance of survival. My first issue started with Matthew Collins when I had severe back pains at about seven months that sometimes I couldn't even get out of bed all day. I complained and even went to physical therapy per their recommendation and that didn't help and he still continued to say what he "could" and "couldn't" do when it came to time out of work. I refused to continue going to PT and paying a $20 just to show or prove to them that I was having these issues. I needed paperwork explaining the issues I were having for my job and for the sake of keeping it and he wasn't helpful at all. I almost thought I would have to get a lawyer involved, I truly didn't feel like he was on my side or there to help me or have my best interest at heart. At the end of my pregnancy I had enough and stated that if he didn't get this corrected I would be switching over to another doctor. A few months pass and I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy and two weeks later he passed away. I went for my post partum check up and was evaluated and told that I did have post partum depression. Well as a result I made them aware that I wasn't ready mentally and emotionally to return to work and the midwife stated she would contact Matthew Collins and let him know. The receptionist called me today stating Matthew Collins wouldn't give me more than 8 weeks out of work, 6 weeks everyone receives after giving birth and 2 additional weeks!!!! I immediately flipped, not only did I have to bury my two week old son but I am still grieving. At any time during the day of just thinking of my baby boy I will burst into tears. Matthew Collins is not empathetic or understanding at all. He doesn't have a heart! There are people who still have their child on this earth and receive longer than 8 weeks for post partum depression. They tried to get me to take the medicine for post partum depression and I declined because I know what the medicine can do to you. I rather grieve my own way, but it's a sad day when you have to lose your job because your "doctor" doesn't understand the pain of losing a child!!! I would never recommend him to anyone, and from my experience with him is probably the reason no one recommended me to him.
