Want to share my experience with Marty's orthopedic. They are amazing!! Especially when I had surgery on the 25th of Sept and days later I feel amazing but sore! Fast recovery and really good work!! Thank you so much for my new hip!!

Matthys' without any hesitation is THE BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON for hips and knees in the Midwest, if not the entire country.  Some of his negative feedback come from people that want opiods or disability.  (Some people spend more time trying to avoid living a healthy, mostly pain free life.)  Sorry for them, but happy that he was my surgeon for a right total knee replacement.  Some reviews say he has bad bedside manor.  I say it was great to meet his 2 little girls when he was doing post-surgical rounds.  All the professional support team at Essentia Health gave him a "2 thumbs up" when it comes to working with him.  I am a nurse and I know excellent care vs. "ok" care.  Matthys' gets 5 stars as well as Essentia Health.  When you show up for your appointment, bring a book as his always runs 30 plus minutes behind.  But he is worth it.  If you are vascillating between Matthys or another orthopedic surgeon, decide on Matthys and you won't be disappointed.

I had Dr. Matthys do my second hip using the anterior approach. It was so much easier than the other side which was done the old fashioned way. Great clinic and very professional staff.
