Excellent food. I had oysters Rockefeller, super creamy and delicious. Spinach raspberry salad was good as was the creamy polenta. Super easy parking. Friend had the pork chops, they moist and tasty.

A very small unique diner type eatery for the gourmet fish lover. The menu has wonderful choices of fresh organic from the garden vegetables and wild fish. For the particular & discerning palate this is the place. They also offer a full bar with interesting specialty drinks. My kind of place. I'll be back.

Nicely renovated little spot. Cool interior. Service was prompt and friendly. 

Had some scallop and shrimp towers, then some ceviche. This was on a whim, because the place was... outta oysters. Was a little bummed that a seafood place prominently advertising oysters as a dedicated menu section (barbequed, grilled, Rockefeller), was totally out. On a weekend. Before sundown. While situated about a paper airplane's throw from the shore.

The food was fresh and the presentations were really nice. Seemed like the same shrimp and same diced mango was used across much of the menu, at least it was in our items. It made them feel more like rearrangements than distinct offerings. We opted out of ordering entrees after that.

Overall, it's a fair little spot, but seemed like the kitchen staff was new or inexperienced. Menu prices reflected a level of sophistication a little higher than what was actually plated. 

I'd like to return in a year or so to see if they've found their own signature.

MATTIE'S Bar & Eatery is a MUST try for everyone, both locals and those passing through this coastal town.  The menu has an exceptional balance of great cuisine to offer, for anyone's palate, from appetizer's to the Chef's homemade sweet specialty's, including a wide selection of premium wines, beers, and custom cocktails.    I am in the luxury hotel and resort business and have been introduced to this unique restaurant twice in two weeks.  The service staff is exceptional and friendly, and if you sit at the bar, be sure to ask for Chris, and say hello.  You  will soon become great friends in a short time.  He is a true hospitality professional, that understands perfection, attention to detail in this highly competitive service industry.  Oh, and one other point, please do not leave Mattie's without saying hello to Mattie herself.  You will not only love Mattie's great food, but her prices as well.   Enjoy your visit to Mattie's today.  You will be back again before you know it.

Really enjoyed my meal. I'm a vegetarian, and was pleased at my dining options. Had the pasta primavera and it was delicious! Service was friendly and thoughtful. I'm looking forward to enjoying my leftovers for dinner tonight. Next time I'm trying the Portobello Veggie Platter. I hear it's very good. The decor is nice, but wish the lighting was a little softer.
