Took the car my daughter has in New Haven CT at college there for an inspection.  Live in northern NY and had to have car inspected.  So went to the closest shop in NY to New Haven CT.  Was told by the employees here that “ALL FOUR CONTROL ARMS WHERE SHOT,  ALL FOUR ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS WERE SHOT, STRUTS WERE SHOT ALSO AND SINCE THEY WERE FIXING THEM THEN WE SHOULD ALSO DO THE SHOCKS ALSO”.  I told them that I didn’t want them to fix anything and to fail the inspection because I knew there was nothing wrong with the car.  Brought the car home, took it to the dealer for the inspection and the only thing they had to do to pass it was a license plate light bulb.  So this place tried to tell me I had THOUSANDS of dollars in repairs when in reality only had a light bulb out...   DO NOT TAKE TOUR VEHICLES HERE.  They will rip you off.

Absolutely horrible place... I left my flat tire to be patched at 930 am and didn't get a call back till 2p. I got there at 230p after which I had to stay till 445p to have the tire placed back on my car... And the biggest shock of my life is when they charged me 45$. Really 45$ to patch a single hole in a tire. Plz do yourself a favor and save it the agony of poor and extremely overpriced service.

Went to this location today for two new front tires and a four wheel alignment.

As soon as I walked in spoke with the very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful new manager David.

He help me find the correct tire for my vehicle.
Good price for the package of tires and alignment when you purchase tires from them and have them install it.
Although this location was very busy had a lot of customers and was a wait if you have no appointment you just have to be patient and they will get the job done...

Had a small leak in my tire. Manager told me it would cost about $20 to fix only to find out they purposely broke my tire pressure sensor which was fine as I did not have a dash light indicating there was a problem. Tires were installed by them less than a year ago. Instead of replacing the small rubber seal they broke the perfectly good sensor just so they can charge more. Mavis has a sheet that informs customers of the required replacement of tire senor rubber seals whenever new tires are installed. So mine were already done less than a year ago.  DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE!! Now I have a cheap made in China sensor they installed. Final price $120 instead of the original $20 I was told.  Im currently in the process of filing a class action suit on Mavis Discount Tire. Anyone with similar problems please contact me.

Very long wait! But nice people and inexpensive satisfactory service. Also don’t wait inside because there’s this constant squeaking noise and the news 12 lady won’t stop talking about how unseasonably cold it is. She’s not very funny but she has a very charming laugh
