I saw the advertisement for the Safe Step bath and called the number. Max Home promptly called and came out to give me a bid. The salesman was very nice and friendly and we set an installation date. He told me the spot I had for the bath was a little short for their regular tub but the smaller tub would be fine for my needs. He is a large 6-ft gentleman and said he could get in the tub without any trouble. (But he failed to tell me he could NOT shut the door, so technically he didn't lie to me.) When I saw the tub on the driveway, I was concerned that it looked smaller than the one in the TV advertisement where the woman sits down and shuts the door but I was assured by the salesman that I wouldn't have any problems. It's now installed and the installation went smoothly and everything works properly and looks great. The only problem is the tub is so short (48" vs 53") that you can't sit down and shut the door. You walk in and squeeze against the corner and the door scrapes the top of your toes as it shuts. If I had known it was so short, I would have moved an existing wall and had the standard tub (53") installed. Other than that one small (i.e., BIG) problem of being misled a bit, everything is good.

Overall, my experience with Max Home was a positive one. We needed to make life easier for my mom. The walk in shower was the best decision we could have made. The salesman was able to meet with us, explained step by step details of the pros and cons. The installer(s) were very precise, communicated every aspect of the installation as well as problems that occurred. The installer(s) were trust worthy and very professional. I would definitely use Max Home again for other professional home improvements I made need. Give them a call, you will not be disappointed.
