It was my first time to visit . After reading reviews I expected a pleasant experience for sure. I had to wait almost 10 minutes just to get staff to greet me and have name put on list which was a 20 min. Wait I was seated finally, but waited another 20 min. Before staff placed my order. I will say I have had far better Chicken fried chicken , no flavor crust was over cooked and the sides we so cold I was disgusted. My son who was with me was not pleased either! Just because they say it's voted best or reviews are NOT always to be taken seriously in this case ! Way over priced as well.

We eat breakfast at Maxine's Cafe at least once a month and sometimes we make it there for lunch. The breakfast items are varied and made from scratch. Everything is delicious. The wait staff is very courteous and always on point. I could not ask for a better way to start a Sunday morning. If you arrive after 9:30 or 10:00 am, there is usually a wait for a table. We usually get there between 8:00 & 8:30. Great food!!

Small town charm. The building is like a pleasant step back in time. Great food. Try the cheesecake!

Went there for breakfast based on all the great reviews. We arrived on a Saturday morning and we were the first name on the wait list. Other people came in and joined the wait list. Then a family walked in and that the waitress knew so she sat them immediately. We said something to another staff member and she blew it off. My husband really wanted to eat there based on the reviews so we waited then ended up in that line jumping waitress's area. We asked the manager for another server. Food was mediocre. If it was mind blowing I would say but was okay. ***Mysteriously my original review disappeared****

Great food! Friendly staff. Food took a little bit but it was definitely worth the wait. Cute mason jars you can drink out of. Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner
