May Kitchen + Bar brings a taste of Thailand to Vashon Island, WA. From the 150 year old dark teak paneling to the hand crafted iron work, the interior whisks you away to another, more relaxed place. Sit down and begin your meal by enjoying an original cocktail carefully crafted to bring out the most flavor from exotic ingredients. Then consider the food. You will have to come back, because you will need to try everything at least once. May Chaleoy is renowned for her ability to bring out a depth and complexity of flavor in all your favorite Thai dishes. One of the best restaurants in the United States. I'm from Ohio and my only request when I visit is to come to May kitchen. The food is amazing and all of the staff is very personable. I definitely say come and eat here, you won't be disappointed :)

We came for a hike but Thai food was a must. Thankfully we were told to be there right when they open because without a reservation it can be a wait. We were the first ones through the door and were sat at the bar due to the fact we had to rush to catch a ferry. They were so accommodating, friendly and the phad Thai was a whole other level. I can't wait to go back (with a reservation of course) and see it prepared table side and try some of their other dishes.

What an incredible experience dinning at May Kitchen. The food was delicious. The atmosphere and decor were lovely and the staff was reminiscent of what dinning out used to be. A hidden gem (literally) on Vashon Island. Will definitely be back. Maybe you should provide a shuttle from the ferry dock. LOL. Thanks for a fabulous night.

The food is awesome, the space beautiful, and just a very positive experience throughout. I recommend the Green curry :)

Lip smacking delicious, even if you can't pronounce it. The staff are very knowledgeable and explain what you need to know to make a great choice.
