I tried Mantu for the first time and loved it. Seemed like an authentic Afghan dish. The lamb chops we ordered were soft and well marinated, and so was the beef kabob. The Afghan rice was delicious too. Would definitely visit again to try other stuff from the menu. Place is pretty clean and nice. Parking: Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs. Food is not spicy, so it can be given to little children.
That's some good food! Ground chicken kebab and a regular chicken kebab. Rice, bread, and a dumpling appetizer too. All top notch quality. Fast and friendly service.
It was my first time eating here. Ordered lamb kabob. Food was tasty and service was good. People working here are nice. Restaurant itself is clean and conveniently located. I am happy with my experience and will go back again.Food: 5/5
Excellent!! I was staying out by the airport for a layover. I walked the the 6-mile round trip and it was worth every step. The gentleman working the counter was very polite and it helped me navigate the menu. I went with the lamb chops and was not disappointed. Generous serving. I ordered them medium, or little pink inside. As mentioned in other comments, this is an Afghani restaurant. Mediterranean is closed, but different spices. If you have never been, I would recommend going with a group and sharing everything family style.
I've ordered take-out from here several times and I am always happy with the food and service. The first time was a gyro, second time lamb and rice that came with salad and this time I grabbed the falafel and rice with salad. Perfect spices and condiments. I will order again from here soon.Food: 5/5
The food here is fresh and delicious! We were staying in Albany from out-of-state and came across this halal restaurant and were blown away. Everything we tried was amazing. My favorite was the chicken kabab platter, the chicken cubes are so juicy and tender, and their rice is very flavorful. Mantu appetizer was mouthwatering. Chicken wrap also delicious. We liked it so much that we brought a tray back for our family at home and they all loved it as well. Will definitely be making a visit to Albany again to eat this amazing food!
If you haven’t tried Afghan food, give it a go. Amazing flavors and blends. Chicken, awesome lamb chops, fresh baked flat bread. We had some kind of a dumpling that I’ll get next time. Parking: Easy in and out, right on central Ave
Food was great. Definitely on the spicy side. The atmosphere is very sterile, very bright florescent lights with fast food vibes. I was surprised that eat-in was served to your table on China with silverware. Nice touch.Food: 5/5
I came here while waiting to get my car fixed at Safelite. The cashier was very friendly. The food was very good and I really enjoyed my experience Kid-friendliness: My son sat in the booth and had a pleasant time. Wheelchair accessibility: Very wide open spaces, in the bathroom too.
One of the best Mediterranean food we had in Albany. Freshly made and delicious. We had the lamb kabob with rice and salad and chicken kabob with rice and salad, both were amazing! Service is fast and the staff is good. The price for that quality of food is definitely worth it. Also tried the lamb wrap which is really tasty and so filling!
