Lots of bears looking in garbage cans  at 3/4 am. Loads of awesome beauty. Take early boat and catch late one out. Very excellent park crews.

Captains Ride... they took good care of us. rather cold while sleeping in mid July, which was great... ate breakfast at the lodge, it wasn't bad at all.

Good campground but very busy. It opens at 7am and i recommend to get there around that time if you dont have a reservation. There is a tent only loop which is really nice because you dont get all the noise of RVs running AC and such.

Clean washrooms and lovely campsites (very large) There are a lot of people but they let you pick your spot so it is easy to find a spot (at least off season) that is quite and spacious) The Ranger staff are excellent and very friendly.

Bring bug spray and CASH! Mosquitos were horrendous. Mazama Village store's credit card machine was down and they only took cash. We tent camped in site F13.. arrived Friday at 9:30pm and were happy with the spot we found. It's first come first serve in the type of site you reserved (ours was 12x12). I liked our spot because it we could hope on Annie Creek Trail from out tent and also take it down to the amphitheater for ranger activities. There were a lot of RVs by us. I believe the G loop is tent only. Get your things at the store early (ice, firewood, etc) if you need them bc by afternoon the lines and traffic are long. The cafe at Rim Village was insane when I tried to run in there just for a quick coffee.
