Choosing McEnearney and agent Chris Fries was the best decision I made when selling a 2 bedroom condo in Wesley Heights. 

From our first meeting, Chris was the model of an approachable, engaged, prepared, and knowledgeable agent.  I was consistently impressed with his crisp efficiency and attention to detail. Nothing gets past him. With Chris' expert advice on staging my property, we had an offer and contract on the condo only days after listing. His knowledge of the market ensured I got the best possible price for my property.

Further, Chris' stewardship of process was nothing short of superb. He worked the parties involved, moved the ball forward and kept the deal on track to settlement. I am certain that in less capable hands, the sale would have fallen apart.

A few words here about customer service. 

My property was a modest sale, but from our first handshake until our last, I always felt that I had Chris' attention and priority. This is a founding principle of the firm, which Chris embodies. He made a complicated process, with many variables, simple and easy for me.

Chris is not the first agent I have hired with. but hands down, he is the best. I could not commend Chris Fries and McEnearney more highly. If you are looking for engaged, pro-active professionals to manage your purchase or sale, you will not go wrong with McEnearney and Chris Fries.

Being our first real estate transaction in the US, my wife and I were very cautious in our approach to the buying process. A friend initially recommended a realtor and we quickly decided to stop working with him, feeling he not only didn't understand what we were looking for, but also kept pushing properties that clearly didn't hit the mark.

Through another friend we ended up connecting with Chris Fries at McEnerney. From the very beginning we felt such a relief to work with someone with such an acute empathy and, most importantly, someone we felt was permanently watching out for us and not looking to make a quick sale. I cannot stress how important and reassuring Chris' guidance was. By far our most important financial decision to date, it all came down to the bullet proof trust we felt with Chris. 

In such a hot market as DC, Chris helped us swiftly prepare a proactive offer right when our dream place was published and the rest is history. We couldn't be happier and, needless to say if we ever are able to buy a second home, we will immediately reach out to him for help.

We were looking to downsize from a multi-level townhouse to a single-level condo, with specific preferences as to location and size. It had also been years since we bought or sold a house. We needed someone to guide us through the process, look out for our interests, and be our trusted advocate. Bob Johnson was the perfect agent - everything we were looking for and more. He took time to understand our needs, give us honest advice, and stuck with us for as long as it took. As a condo owner himself and past President on two condo boards, he knew exactly what to look for in reviewing HOA documents and assess the viability of HOA management. Bob’s professionalism and counsel reduced our anxiety. He was impeccably honest and forthcoming, giving us the necessary information to make decisions on our timeframe, and always returning our calls promptly with answers to our questions. His thorough research on comparables enabled us to negotiate a deal quickly to our advantage in a competitive market. He went beyond our expectations. When discovering after the home inspection that one of the blinds did not work, he gave us the funds to purchase a replacement. Following the condo purchase and our move, we trusted him to sell our townhouse and get the best deal possible. He knew exactly what buyers were looking for and how to prepare our house for market, taking the initiative to do small repairs himself to save us time and money, negotiate with and oversee contractors for major repairs on home inspection, and visiting frequently to keep the house tidy and fresh. Our house actually sold before listing it on the MLS, and at our full asking price thanks to Bob’s marketing strategy and negotiating skills. When we began our home search we contacted Bob on the recommendation of a neighbor. If you are looking for an honest and capable agent who will shoulder the stress of home buying/selling, go all out for your needs and get you the best deal, Bob Johnson is your guy.
