I loved the natural gardens!! Alot of great photos!! Wild life, there was art, just a peaceful place to be to look at the beutey of the natural habitat of several different kinds of Lilly's, or orchards, many different kind of species of flowers, there is history, etc. Just loved it.

McKee Gardens is a quiet, peaceful place in south Vero. It's what was saved of a much larger garden. The best time to visit is in the late winter and the spring. There is a beautiful collection of waterlilies and small water courses. Don't expect fragrant flowers. The garden has special events especially in the season. The Christmas lights show is nice.

Typical of FL, this is more expensive than it otherwise should be. On the one hand, it is rather a small place, with little variation, no real zones per se, and few trails. On the other hand, there are many waterlilies and lotus plants in the several ponds and streams. There are a few photogenic buildings, including some giant "birdhouses" made by an artist of woven branches. These are over 30' tall, I'd estimate, and very cool. If you don't mind paying to see water plants and some shady trails, this is a lovely place to spend some time.

The gardens are very beautiful. Have always been treated well by the staff. If you go during a Lego exbit they have family oriented interactive area.
