The building has charm ad warmth. Its ballroom with its high ceilings and wooden floors give off the nostalgic feeling, great for swing dancing. Other rooms have great wood detail. I worked there for 18 years it.

One of the most "nostalgic" buildings on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. McKinney Hall embraces the old school appearance for college. The rooms in McKinney are used by many on and off campus organizations. McKinney Hall is the home to the office of University a
Advising and Career Development which includes the combined offices of Academic Advising and the Career Services Center. McKinney Hall used to be "The Union" but that recognition is gone to the student center on Eastern's campus.
