They are friendly, love our dogs, and we rest easy knowing that our dogs remain healthy. We also use them for boarding of our dogs. Our dogs are happy to get there and still happy when picked up. Edit #2 - I recently changed my rating to a 2 star due to some issues we experienced. I am happy to change this back to the well deserved 5 stars though because I did receive a phone call to address my concerns. I am, again, very impressed with the honesty and professionalism here and would be happy to recommend McKinney Animal Hospital to anyone.

My partner has used this clinic for years. I accompanied our two dogs on to their visit last week and was shocked by the rudeness of one of the front desk girls, Sam. More interested in bullying her poor coworker (who was actually helpful!) than assisting us with the care of our animals. If I have anything to say about our dogs care- we won't be returning here.

I am in the process of moving from Colleyville to McKinney and in the chaos this weekend, ran out of my 16 year old kitty's prescription food that he must have for hyperthyroidism. I called today and was told that with a current prescription from my veterinarian, I could purchase the food. I made arrangements and the script was faxed. After driving across town with full confidence that I was picking up food for my kitty because I had been told they had 4 bags, I was told that to get the food, my kitty would need to be seen by one of their vets. I was informed that it was a law. This was not mentioned during the phone call. They had the signed script as they spoke and told me that with it, I could get the food at Pet Smart. I guess it was a law that at their office an evaluation was necessary, however, at the store, it was not necessary. I found it unbelievable. I felt that I had been lied to. I could have an eye exam and with a script, could purchase glasses elsewhere. Why could not have my kitty evaluated by my vet of 35 years and with a signed, legal script from him, purchase bagged, pre-packaged food from a vet in McKinney? And...why was I not informed of this "law" on the phone? This establishment appears to be a very uncaring, shady practice that I want nothing to do with. I went to Pet Smart and purchased the food with the script without a problem. The technician there could not believe the attitude and commented that she would not have been happy to have been treated that way. I will definitely fine a more ethical, honest doctor to care for my kitties in McKinney.

High priced place. For example, they sold 4 packets of purina fortiflora probiotic packets for 27 dollars. In Walmart, Petco, petsmart or amazon, you can 30 packets for the same price. Its a complete Rip off. When asked for a diet for my GSD puppy, they would give you a generic large breed dry food. Vets over here are scared of the idea of raw home made food. When asked for Neutering, the estimated a price of $500. Pretty sure other places will be cheaper for simple neuter procedure. Before you pay your bills, check every single item on that list. We have to remind what was done in the previous visit so that they don't repeat or skip any shots.

The friendliness of the entire staff exceeded all expectations. The vet tech and the veterinarian were both personable, demonstrating a clear love of my pet!
