We've always had fairly good luck here, and the food is always good. The wait is always longish, but tolerable. My parents asked us one night for a suggestion of a good restaurant to take their out of town guests to. We told them, McKinney's! We had a terrible experience. We were seated at 7:15. It was 8:58 before the food was brought out. It was not a busy evening, and there were 2 larger groups that came in after us and got their food well before we did. No effort was made by the staff to make anything right, not even an acknowledgement that this was out of place. That's a really good way to scare off new customers, and lose old ones!

I cannot say enough good things about this resteraunt! Friendly folks, great service, and the most scrumptious seafood I have ever eaten! I will most definitely make the 50 mile drive just to eat here again! I highly recommend Mckinneys Pond Resteraunt!!

We eat in Savannah a lot and no one has better shrimp, gator tail or hush puppies than McKinney 's.

Pretty good. Had grilled scallops and shrimp. Seasoning was caked on and burnt, but was easily removed. It all seemed to be seasoned with lemon pepper or something similar which thankfully I like but would be overwhelming to some. Only other thing is that the price was a little high compared to the same thing elsewhere.
