McVehil Plumbing was founded in Washington, Pa., in 1909 by Earl McVehil. I asked them to come look at an AC that was not as cool as it should be.  They told me it would be $99.95.  They came to check it and left me a bill for $419.65 saying it was over pressurized and they adjusted the freon charge.  $419.65 just to let some pressure out?  We have a lot of AC's here which could have gotten them a good amount of repeat business, but they really missed out on that opportunity.  I will be going elsewhere.

My dad's in a nursing home now and I've been fixing up his house to sell.  I chose McVehil initially for the price, but I KEEP coming back for the service (and - importantly - all their work seems to be good - of course I'm no expert there - which is why I need them ;-).  Everyone at McVehil has been SOOOO helpful (even that one day when I was being a complete idiot...)  LOVE these guys.  Can't recommend them enough!!
