Holy cow. Go. Go now. The soup dumplings are akin to what I got in Shanghai. Fried dumplings were authentic and delicious. Got the hibachi fried rice and was so good. Very peppery, so note that. But was amazing. They have 3 kinds of fried rice so ask the differences! Dessert was solid, but sold out of the amazing stuff. Not surprising! Staff was fast and polite, loved this place, can't say enough. I'll be back.
All the food was fantastic. Our waitress was fast and attentive. The custard in the Piggy buns was perfectly sweet. The brown sugar boba was delicious. We would definitely stop here again.
We were delighted to find this place for Taiwanese desserts! The food seemed kind of pricey, but the drinks and desserts were reasonable. Except maybe $9 for 3 egg tarts. They stopped seating in the dining room half an hour before closing, so we had to get it to go. The Taro Taro Sago came in a cute plastic cup and was packed with everything it promised: chewy taro balls, grass jelly, red bean, boba, and sago small tapioca in a coconut milk base. It was perfect for sharing. The Mango Milk swirl had ice cream and was delicious as well!
I've been here a few times and ordered delivery a few times. I'll photo dump. Hand made dumplings and buns? Great noodle and rice dishes? Delicious apps? Amazing specialty drinks? Very kind and helpful service? Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes! I love their food and love their spot. It is where the old Hot Pot place was and they did a good job transforming the spot. Thank you, Yu Jian Bao! I'll be back!
Surprisingly FLAVORFUL AUTHENTIC CHINESE, unlike the adulterated greasy Chinese-style food that pervades America. However, my Chinese and Taiwanese colleagues don’t think it’s Taiwanese at all, nor could tell what regional Chinese cuisine are the food on offer. Strangely, the menu lists non-Chinese entrees, like Pad Thai and Singapore noodles The menu also mentions “dim sum” but they’re all dumplings. This is misleading!!! Dim Sum is part of Cantonese cuisine and very popular in Hongkong. Dim Sum is the Chinese equivalent of tapas small plates, it is so much more than dumplings. Nevertheless, the Chinese selections are very very flavorful 1. The Dumplings Platter is the best way to sample their various dumplings. Each of the dumpling entrees steamed or fried are generous servings. 2. The Stir-fried Shanghai choy is “cleanly” flavorful, simply seasoned in its own juices and quite crunchy. 3. Braised Lion Heads, a terrific meatballs entree, very delicate and flavorful—Very Highly Recommended
After a long day of driving in the rain and sleet this place hit the spot. The spare ribs were so tender and fell off the bones. The steamed broccoli with garlic and the soup dumplings were also good too. We wish we ordered more.Dine in: Yes
Yes, you should go here. The soup dumplings were pretty good, and the spicy chili fish fillet over rice was great – the fish was perfectly crispy on the outside while still moist inside. We also got the Taurus smoothie which was creamy, sweet, and delicious.
These were the best dumplings I’ve ever eaten. The pork and bamboo was perfect. The pork belly sliders were delicious! I can’t wait to go back!
We went here for a Saturday dinner and were floored by our meals. We had the pork soup dumplings, veggie dumplings pan fried, and the green beans - all were delicious! Great food for a reasonable price. Will be returning for sure.Dine in: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Excellent new Dim Sum and Taiwanese restaurant in Oakland. Very traditional preparation with lots of bone and gristle so order safe if you're not willing to work around those. Service was pretty rough but I completely understand with the staffing shortages all over. Can't wait to return and get some cute dessert buns and taro taro.
