For all the people complaining about Meijers Pharmacy "lack of compassion" for customers...shame on you!

What a cranky lot you are, these people work harder than any other store employee in non-stop service to the needs of their customers. I have gone in with a smile and never walked away questioning their ability or their compassion. 

They are not therapists! The pharmacists are as well educated as a doctor and then some. The people working the counters are often specially trained and expected to follow exacting instructions in order to make certain each customer gets the correct medication. They do the same thing, day in and day out.

Anytime you feel they are not giving you the attention you need or the compassion you desire, remember: These people are not your mother, but part of their job entails the same care/concern and frantic pace a mother of several thousand might have - day in and day out. Try having some compassion for them!

Lines are always backed up. Outside and inside. 20+ minute wait is typical. Staff doesn't seem happy either.

Gave me the wrong prescription and handled the situation very unprofessionally when I went back to exchange it for the correct one I needed.

Nothing but one ridiculous experience after another. Rude, slow, and no one knows what their job is. If there is something amiss and information is needed, there is no phone call. They just wait until you come in to spring it on you. Seriously?? There isn't some one physically processing refills?? Their system and lack of compassion for people is horrible. Stay away. Go to Osco or Walgreens!

Target closed a few months ago, and Meijer got slammed with new scripts. It's only gotten worse. Slow, computer crashes, other pharm techs have no clue what they're doing. Anything but convenient. Go elsewhere!!
