It's a mexican bakery that serves some food, too. The pastries are ok, and nothing super special from any other bakery of its kind. The bolillo rolls taste good when they're warm and fresh from the oven. I've had some of their tortas in the past, and they're ok, as well, if not a bit messy and cumbersome to handle. They're just loaded up with too much stuff. I recommend eating them open faced style. If you want warm, fresh pastries, then I suppose you know where to go now.
Love the tortas from there also the pan is omgggggg so good and the pan dulce is bomb
I Hadn't been in awhile, ordered two tortas, & some sweet bread. The sweet bread was hard! The tortas had hardly no meat or avocado, Paid like $50, it's gotten so expensive & food is not the same anymore! When complained the cook had the nerve to come out & say she was just the cook following orders from the boss! Long story short, you bet I got my money back on that hard nasty bread! Never again!! Miss the good old days when some small businesses cared about the quality of their food & customers....
Even though I went late on the day, they were not busy and I was able to get my pastries.
Love the baked bread but the don't make enough and are always out.
I went in the other morning and got a variety of pan dunce, and a couple of burritos. Most of the pan dunce was good, but there was this one that tasted horrible! It literally tasted like it had soap in it, it was pretty bad. The rest were alright, but there was another that also had a hint of soap flavor. I was really concerned about why it tasted that way. The desebrada burritos were good, but I found 2 long hairs in one of my burritos. I hadn't been here in years, but I don't think I'll be going back.
They have The BEST Sweet bread & Pan Blanco. Their Food is Great & The cashier Karina is always Nice & Helpful. I have been coming for years & will keep returning. I Highly Recommend this place if you are Looking somewhere to get a Torta or get some Bread
This is my first time coming here, and it will be my last. The lady up front was very nice but the place smells dirty, even though it does look clean, it just has that smell. I ordered two carne asada tortas to go, when I got to where i was going it turns out they were hamburger meat! It's a rip off! Unfortunately south Odessa does not have very many food options, but for sure not going back

Melody’s Bakery is really good the bread is yummy! ,but the owners wife is super rude. You can’t ask her questions about prices or when the fresh white bread will come out without her answering you rudely. Sometimes she over prices some bread and tortas. One time we bought 4 tortas not the combo from there she charged us $80. When tortas there are $10 each. White bread is 50 cents and sometimes she charges you $1each. Very unfair prices!
