I was there last night 1/01/2017 the security guard was a joke. He was rude and very unprofessional. If he had to say something he would yell across the room to someone not get up from his desk to tell the people what he had to say. 1 point he raised his hand and hell to 2 fingers up and said trying to explain to someone on the other side of the hallway only 2 can go in to the ER area were patients are which is understanding. I think he needs to know that professionalism goes a long way. I was there at 9p. The black young lady at the front desk in the ER would look at the patients crazy as if they did not need to be there she was taking there info and she would huddle with other staff once your clients walked away. I get this is an emergency room but ratings can close this hospital and they can be without a job this is reality and your staff showed no kind of humanity behavior. I was appalled by this, and thank my superiors for teaching everyone where I work at that being kind professional and always remember patients can use other hospitals other than Memorial City. Please teach your employees the blessing of having a job. Because I was completely zoned in this because it was the worst experience I have ever had with people in a business setting and I am 52 years old and this should be a natural thing in your personal being. Not something someone should be reminded or thought at a work place. Memorial City needs to hire the right people for the right jobs

Wife had left shoulder replacement. From the time we checked in (5 am) staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and doing whatever was needed. Surgery staff informative and nurses and all care when in the room were very gracious and helpful. Best hospital stay that we ever had.

More than 5 hours waiting on the E.R. to get someone's attention. Blood test + urine test + CT scan + No answers to what was causing the pain = $5000 AFTER Insurance negotiation (would have been $9000 without insurance negotiation), That is $3000 out of my pocket. This hospital only seems to care about profit. I hope I never need to return to this place. Edit: They replied to this post asking for more details to "look into this". I've already called them, explained/complained about the bad service and excessive cost. They didn't care about anything I said. The bill didn't change. Stay away from this E.R.

This place is horrid. My aunt was advised by her doctor to come here bc of a 10 day old knee injury that has become infected, partially necrotic, and her leg has swollen to the point of being unable to slip a toe into her shoe. Pain increased significantly and her diabetic status was worsening. When I notified the ER nurses of her decline, they told her to hang in there and do her best. This was after waiting 5 hours! Even the VA Medical Center's ER has better service and priority than this place. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. After 6 hours, we finally left bc we were told it would be another 2-3 hours to be seen.

Please don’t leave your valuables with your love ones in this hospital because food service or therapy or what not will steal your stuff. My mother has stage four terminal cancer and I could not fathom why someone would do this....
