If I could stand all day long outside this hospital ER, to avoid anyone having to go through what I went through, I'd do it in a second!! Doctors don't explain procedures ordered, I stayed there for 3 days for what boiled down to low sugar and low bp and a sprained ankle. I was in incredible pain, and one of the doctors lowered my benzodiazepine doze, and I never got my depression meds and when asked if I could have something for the pain in my ankle, the only response was "Only if it's broken" They continued to treat me like a drug seeker, even though ALL my labs were clean. With 3 days spent there, I spoke to all 3 Drs in the ER for approximately 10 minutes combined. On the 3rd day, after I spoke to admissions, I received an X-ray, which somehow, someway came back negative. During this whole time No nurses showed any pity or empathy at all, and were very rude, quickly putting me in the opioid seeking category....Once the X-ray came back, not broken, I was quickly shoved out the door. Knowing something wasn't right about my foot, I was taken to Eden hospital where the X-ray showed an Avulsion Fracture. I now need surgery and thanks to this worthless hospital I've been made to wait longer so it's gotten worse. My best advice IS NEVER EVER USE THIS HOSPITALS ER!!!!

Furious with how poorly I was treated as a patient here. Dr. Harris and the women in the pregnancy department were extremely rude, while I was respectful and kind. Dr. Harris refused to discuss anything until the tv was cut off, which the tv show we had On was apparently "embarrassing", he also made other unprofessional remarks and had a very bad attitude the only 5 minutes I saw him. I really feel treated like a number here, they do not genuinely care for their patients, they are just in it for the money!!! Do not get treated at this hospital, especially if you are pregnant.

My mother had surgery and had the most wonderful experience with the entire staff at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. Extremely professional, compassionate knowledgeable and informative. I stayed overnight with my Mother and was treated like a hotel guess. I rarely write reviews unless I am truly impressed, and indeed I was very impressed. A special thank you to Dr Lim, hospital doctor, Dr Graham, Surgeon. 4th floor unit staff for room 414 RN Angelia, CNA Alexia. From post op staff 434 RN Charity,CNA Rhoda and the entire 4th floor. The incredible kitchen staff young man who was kind enough to go to kitchen to make my mother a breakfast so she could eat solids food before she was discharged. He discovered it was her birthday and decorated the tray with a birthday card, flower and decorations. I can't say enough about this hospital. From my mom, family to all of the hospital, a BIG thank you. ~Dr. Clishia Taylor DMIN, MBA, RN President of American Health Care Professionals.

Not a good experience. Not enough help but those who were there were wonderful, just overworked. It was very difficult to get the hospital to transfer us to another hospital. Had we not been moved I honestly believe they could not have treated my husband and he would have died.

Horrible place to go for any kind of illness. I wouldnt take my dog there. I went in for abdominal pain, they told me I was pregnant...NO possible way for that to be true as i had surgery in 05 that made sure i couldn't get pregnant . Do not take your loved ones there if you love them.
