I honestly couldn't have had a better experience at Mend, and would highly recommend them. Kristin was incredible-- taking the time to understand who I am as a runner, and what/when my goal race was before even tackling my injury. Her treatment was both short-term (in this case, dry needling) and long-term, so I can address what caused the injury in the first place and work to prevent it from returning. She strikes the balance of being both thorough and efficient, and was happy to answer all my questions, even about unrelated niggles. And at the end of my last appointment, she told me to email with any other questions I have-- it's great to have such an accessible resource like that!

Kristin at Mend is simply the best PT that I have seen (I have seen several over the years). She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes a evidence-based, science approach. She is great at treating not only the local pain, but is very gifted in finding the larger and more complex underlying issues that caused problems to begin with (i.e. muscle weaknesses and imbalances). One of the things that I most appreciate is that the treatment is performed with an eye towards keeping me active and enjoying the athletic things I love. This is the difference between simply being functional and being able perform at higher level. My only regret is that I didn't go to Mend sooner! - Holly B.

A year and a half ago I developed a strange issue with my left knee cap that wouldn't get better, and I just chalked this up to getting older and joints wearing out. But last fall I visited Jeff Ryg at Mend (referred to him by my brother; Jeff healed his back problem within a few weeks). Jeff quickly found the problem and developed a PT protocol to strengthen various muscles and increase flexibility. I worked with Jeff for several months then I was able to do the exercises on my own. It took a while - long-lasting results don't come overnight - but the knee pain is now gone! In addition, the exercises that he prescribed have made my knees/ankles a lot stronger. At the time, I was debating going to an orthopedic specialist or similar and quite sure they would have prescribed costly imaging and/or cortisone injections, etc. But in the end, it's really just about getting the muscles and joints strong - the body and joints perform great when the muscles are balanced and strong. Thanks Jeff and the Mend team!

With the incredibly active community we have here in Boulder, it should be no shock that we have such an impressive array of resources to keep us healthy and active. And I'm incredibly thankful that we have Mend. Kristin has been an invaluable asset to my career as a distance runner, and has helped me overcome both severe injuries (stress fracture, labral tear) and more run-of-the-mill insufficiencies (asymmetric weaknesses, stability problems). Kristin has done a phenomenal job diagnosing what's going wrong, and given me the tools I need to get myself back out on the track and trails!

Kristin resolved my rotator cuff issues and gave me the tools to maintain my mobility. I was thrilled to be healed without surgery. Kristin is professional and personally engaged in the patient's issues.
