The Mental Health Association of East Tennessee is a non profit organization dedicated to educating the community about mental health issues.
The Mental Health Association has several programs serving East Tennessee:
Mental Health 101 is an outreach program that serves middle and high school students. The program addresses stress management, signs and symptoms of mental illness, bullying, self harm, and suicide prevention. This program currently serves 53 schools across 19 counties.
The Peer Recovery Call Center and Transitional Employment Program is staff by Certified Peer Support specialists who assist callers with questions about mental health, addiction treatment or support services and link callers to appropriate resources. The program also provides part-time transitional employment for people who have been out of the workforce for an extended time due to mental health reasons.
The Mental Health Association of East Tennessee is dedicated to the promotion of mental health awareness, wellness and recovery in our communities.
