The citrus elderberry sangria is a must try. This pizzeria is intimate and quiet. It does not have a massive selection, but the options are strong and bold. We ordered the chopped salad. It was crisp, fresh, bright, zesty and vibrant. We also ordered the prosciutto , the Margherita , and the Bianca. All of them were well made. The Margherita was classic and satisfied two young children. The Bianca was my absolute favorite. It was luxurious, rich, creamy and a little spicy. I could not get enough. The prosciutto was not my favorite, the crust was very thick on this pie, however, it was still well made and had good flavors. I would recommend Mercato especially for the cocktail!
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. The crust was excellent, a nice crisp on the bottom but chewy. The pepperoni was excellent also. I felt there was too much cheese and it stifled the flavor of the sauce but overall a great pizza. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.6.
Unique almost gluten free thin crust pizzas with unique and interesting combinations. Oblong shaped flat pizzas with crunchy yet chewy texture. Pleasantly different.Food: 4/5
We were highly recommended to try Mercato. WOW!!! What can I say.... From the host to the food, It is UNBELIEVABLE. The host is so warm and kind. Every establishment should take a page from her book. And from the pizza to the salads... We have not been let down yet..AMAZING!!! BEST PIZZA IN NORTHVALE EVEN IF IT'S IN TAPPAN!!!!
Wife and I went here without expecting much and was very much blown away with their pizzas and overall service. The people here love what they do and you can see it in the food as well. We had two personal pizzas called butchers sink and shrimp scampi. The bread on these pizzas are amazing. I have yet to see the bread cooked this amazing around this area at all. The bread is thin and crispy but perfectly chewy as well. You can look underneath and see perfect leopard spotting that gives balance to the ingredients on top. The pizzas overall are very elevated compared to what I usually eat in Rockland and Bergen County areas. We also got the Affogato for dessert and again was just very happy that we ordered a simple but great tasting combo of espresso and vanilla ice cream.

Really enjoying this place, they have this Roman Style pizza rectangular slices but the dough is really light and crispy. The char on this crust is incredible. Great sauce, really nice specialty pies. This is a must try.
The best pizza in the area! All ingredients are fresh! Every bite was flavorful! Stumbled upon this amazing pizzeria and will be coming back more. Food and drinks here are just awesome!
Beyond the ordinary pizza experience! My wife and I have gone to many of the best pizza places in the tristate and usually favor coal oven fired pizzas. Mercato Roman is on another level between the ingredients they use top notch and sourdough crust that's done so right! They are consistent every time and also very nice people so far I only picked up but they have outdoor and indoor dining. I can highly recommend them no, I haven't been paid for this glowing review. Enjoy.
Great product, but issues with their website and credit card processor. Processed my credit card twice for the same order, but the order was never transmitted. Order by phone and pay when you get there.
