Mission

Our mission is to nurture and inspire the arts and artists in Merced County by creating a place for artistic discovery, community, and dialogue.

The Merced County Arts Council (MCAC) brings the arts and people together to inspire creativity and innovation and to encourage diversity through dynamic partnerships that strengthen the communities we serve.

As responsible stewards of the arts, we carry out our mission through visual arts, performing arts, and arts education programs, and by supporting artists and arts organizations in our community. In addition, through a partnership with the City of Merced, we manage the Multicultural Arts Center (MAC).

This place really is great. There is usually something going on as far as music, the open gallery is pretty good. They painting they sell are mostly local are really pretty good. Prices aren't crazy either. Easy to get in contact with the artists as well.  Head in there are spend a few minutes looking around, it's worth it.

Great environment and place to hop in and view some local art for free. They offer a lot of classes for adults and kids and usually have a multitude of events scheduled.

Wonderful place to get exposed to a plethora of artwork. Anyone who appreciates the arts would appreciate this place.

This place has great area artists and artisans on display as well as other events happening all the time. Great unique gift ideas as everything is for sale! Come out and support the MAC!
