10/10- update: Had a late delicious lunch today at Merci Bimini ! Great atmosphere for my only day off in a week.. transported to a little cafe in Paris.. I ordered the crustless Quiche Champignon - marinated mushrooms, egg, Gruyere and parmesan cheese. It was amazing! Creamy, buttery and cheesy! I also treated myself to a glass of Sauvignon Blanc also light and delicious! I took home eclairs and the almond pastry. They were busy, which was wonderful to see! Can’t wait for my next day off! ————————————————————- Merci Bimini a new French-American Cafe is a welcomed addition to the trendy West Palm Beach restaurant scene! We are so lucky to have them so close by… To quote their website:”Inspired by the Coco Chanel who popularized casual chic as the feminine standard of style, Merci Bimini is set in a simple and comfortable ambiance where individuals and friends can gather for French-American food with a contemporary twist. “ An authentic French cafe vibe, casual atmosphere offering small bites, sweet and savory pastries, coffee beverages, wine, beer, champagne, and more! What more can we ask for.. Stephanie Bogdan, the owner-manager, offers a warm inviting welcome and you are immediately drawn to the pastry display. Wow! As a New Yorker I appreciate and miss a good French Pastry Cafe! Of course I had to try as many freshly made pastries! They were all absolutely delicious! Things that dreams are made of…. The first one is a mini custard eclair! A light buttery eclair covered in a dark chocolate ganache with a vanilla custard filling. So yummy! Delicious! The second is a Mocha mini cream puff.. also delicious the mocha cream filling is so light and delicate! Maybe the best mocha I’ve ever had! The third was a mini cream puff filled with hazelnut cream! Ooh lala!!! Fabulous! The hazelnut cream is light and fluffy.. with the chocolate ganache topping. Also not too sweet. Delicious beyond words! My favorite is the Almond Pasticiotti!!! Wow! Buttery flaky crust with an almond marzipan custard filling topped with shaved almonds.. the filling is not too sweet but creamy and filled with flavor.. this is a delicacy that is hard to find especially in South Florida. I can’t wait to work my way through all they have to offer. They will also offer wine, beer and champagne! Just waiting for the approval Please refer to my pictures and also their website for their soft opening menu. What can I say but I am so excited they are here .. They are right next to Bimini Twist Restaurant on Okeechobee Blvd and Sandsbury.. in the little strip mall! I highly recommend and encourage everyone to support our newest locally owned and operated business! Trust me there will be lines out the door once season starts! With the surrounding communities of Breaker’s West, Baywinds, Riverwalk and Golden Lakes Village- they will love this Cafe! Welcome to the neighborhood! So delicious!!!!!
I was visiting from Miami and ate there on Sunday. This place was so charming. The food was extremely fresh. The management apologized ahead of time that they ran out of most things on the menu but did still have some of the items. It was their first Sunday open and it’s a very small place that has only been open for 7 weeks. They did not expect the rush since now they are getting the overflow of the restaurant next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. The food was the freshest and everything tasted amazing. The pastries were yummy too. The owners were kind and engaging. I’m suspecting the two one star reviews are this couple that were extremely rude and caused a scene on Sunday. Their reviews are fake news. This place is amazing, there will be growing pains with a new business. Support your small businesses, kindness and patience goes a long way. I would definitely go back!
One of THE WORST dinning experiences of my life. We waited an hour and 15 minutes to even get a portion of our food. The restaurant was not busy. Only 5 tables in the whole restaurant. All the food was frozen. Nothing fresh. The coffee was cold. And when we asked about when were we going to get the rest of our meal, management was so rude and disrespectful. We just got up and left. It was embarrassing just how bad this place actually was, when my cousin was so excited about going there. Never again. Big fat waste of time and $$$. Just a disaster!
Thank you for a beautiful and fabulous experience! This was one of the best dining experience I’ve had in quite some time, and the the food was fantastic! My hope for this place is everyone will find it because it is an experience you will not forget. We had the charcuterie, the avacado and shrimp appetizer plus dessert wine and coffee, Stephanie the owner was a joy and wonderful to talk with, and Lola was our greeter was such a joy, Stephanie our hope for you is you are a great success
Service 10/10, coffee 10/10, atmosphere 10/10 for this place! It’s sad to see negative reviews, and after having been to the café multiple times - including that Sunday in the bad reviews - I can say that the people who left those remarks are impatient and entitled. The staff being rude is an outright lie, and a projection of the attitude of the party who left those remarks. Also, a small and new business is going to have its hiccups, and there’s a better way to handle a bad experience such as spending directly with the staff or manager or owner.
Wonderful experience! Fresh food, quiet, peaceful atmosphere. A perfect place to sit and enjoy a sweet lunch with a friend or by yourself . My favorite, Strawberry & Walnut avocado toast, lemon bar pastry and a cappuccino
My wife & I had the most remarkable experience tonigh!, The food, wine, dessert, latte & atmosphere was perfect! Add to that the owner Stephanie & assistant Lola we’re absolutely fantastic! We’ll be back!
Have been there 4 times. Had the Quiche, Avocado Toast, and the Long Island Flatbread twice. All delicious and the ambiance is very French Chic. Nice addition to Bimini Boulevard!
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Over 1 hour to get our food. We called and asked if they serve a brunch and they said yes, we have a special menu for it. The menu was the the regular menu which was extremely limited and there was nothing french about it. THE FACT THAT YOU ADD MERCI TO THE NAME OF YOUR ESTABLISHMENT DOESNT MAKE THE RESTAURAURANT FRENCH. The staff was rude and kept apologizing for the delays. They lied about the brunch. They lied about the food availability. They lied about when are we going to get our food after 30 minutes of order. After we was that there no chance to get our food. We left abruptly with the guts of charging us for the entire order even the one we didn't rcv. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
Eating here brings me so much joy. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff are incredible! Highly recommend!!!Food: 5/5
