My sister became very sick ( could not breath) while we we in Muskegon visiting cousins ! An ambulance was called from the restaurant we were at and she was taken to Mercy Hospital! Everyone from the ambulance people to the hospital staff was amazing! Mercy found a clogged arteries in her heart and repaired it and she is making a full recovery! I am unbelievably thankful to everyone who worked with her that day but especially to the staff at Mercy !!

Nurses were rude, they left my 65 year old mom who went in for a bad fall unattended in the bathroom after giving her morphine. I asked if anyone could help and no one looked up. Dr. never introduced herself to her. They ripped the IV out of her arm with such force it filled nearly 3 inches of gauze with blood, nurse said to hold her arm up but it wouldn't stop. They wouldn't help get her up or dressed and when they wheeled her out they left her in the parking lot unattended, the car wasn't even there yet. I had to bring the wheelchair back in for them so we wouldn't be charged for it. I would recommend some classes on etiquette and bedside manners. Just my opinion.

Honest I'd give it 0 stars. I called trying to get help on finding my physician. I rarely ever see her, and she's moved to multiple locations of the campus that it's practically impossible for me to figure out simply what her name is. I called in and the lady was completely unwilling to help me. The operator wasn't even able to give me a website or another number, instead she decided to simply hang up on me in the midst of my question. Just plain ole rude and impatient. She constantly interrupted as well. As far as my physician goes, I used to have an awesome doctor. She handled my problems with care and listened intently on everything whenever I needed her. She always did what was best for me, not what was best for her to prescribe and get an extra paycheck. She understood that not only did I live out of town for college, but I was on an extremely tight budget, so she would accommodate me by doing every procedure she could in one visit rather than me coming in multiple times just for one procedure. She sadly found a better job at a different hospital out of state. In doing so, all of her patients were transferred to a new doctor, one who did the exact opposite. She wouldn't listen to my problems, was really quick to just prescribe something and send me out the door to "help" someone else. She even withheld my medication until I came in and set up an appointment, medication that I needed each day. She was unwilling to accommodate my financial set backs and thus constantly racked up a bill I simply couldn't afford, just because she wanted me to come in 4 or 5 different times when everything could've been taken care of in 1 appointment. Ultimately I don't suggest going there if you're looking for someone who's there for you. She wasted not only my time and gas, but money that was unnecessarily spent. Needless to say I'm in the search of a new doctor as we speak.

An extra minute or two verifying info, instead of assuming, might make your records more accurate and patients feel more confident in the care they are paying for at a high cost.

Zero stars!! Please, if your loved one has an emergency avoid at all costs taking them to this hospital. The doctors and nurses are rude, disrespectful, uncaring, unsympathetic, unprofessional, snappy (who by the way let a random stranger sign all of my relative's end of life paperwork) the only exception was Quenten. Making jokes and laughing in the room as my relative lay there dying I believe the blonde haired nurse was named Kim. Dr. Bart didn't barely lift a finger to revive my relative, he was taken off of the respirator within only a few hours of arriving. We got the impression that he just didn't wanna bother with him. There's absolutely no reason or good excuse for his life to be gone right now. Hopefully one day as a culture we will start setting human lives at more importance than money or time or job status, and go out of our way to help a another human life. We would live in a much better world. Put someone else's before your own. The body was designed to heal itself when there is injury. Brain cells DO regenerate. Miracles DO happen. Sadly this is just another situation the devil manipulated.
