I recently moved to the area and needed to see someone near by. I found this place through a company health search engine. When I called to schedule an appointment, the admin who answered was so short, not friendly, spoke so fast I had to keep asking her to repeat what she was saying. It’s as if she was filing my taxes and trying to finish the call as soon as possible. She then asked me about why I’m calling (basically what was wrong with me) that felt very weird to just answer that over the phone to a random person. At the end when I gave her my insurance info she asked if there was a co-pay and I said no, the search engine says I wouldn’t be paying anything. She then said she would have to get back to me on who would be best to meet with me and when. This was two days ago and I NEVER heard back. So insensitive and unprofessional.

I don't even believe this facility deserves one star. Let me start out with saying I'm an avid yelp reviewer and I very rarely write a negative review, I am always someone who tries to see the best in people and put myself in the others shoes before passing judgement. So my fiancé decided it was time to see a therapist, ironically enough the first time in years he was going to use it and of course! it had been canceled! We called to sort it as we have auto pay and find out there was no reason, it was an error. So they started about reinstating and retrograding the insurance to the moment it was wrongly canceled. They said if we were to see any doctors in the interim period of waiting for it to be reinstated we would be reimbursed. When scheduling our appointment with Karen Freeman we mentioned this health insurance mishap. My fiancé saw Karen Freeman and paid for 2 visits out of pocket. By the third visit she tried his insurance card and it showed it was activated and they went through our insurance for that visit and each one following. So weeks pass and my fiancé has now started some medications that are working WONDERFULLY for him, he's feeling great! Metrowest contacts us to tell us that they billed out for the month of december and his insurance is saying he wasn't active. Frustrated, I call both tufts health plan and the health connector, find out the health connector never sent out the updated carrier report showing he was active to Tufts health plan. None of this was our fault and I spent WEEKS working on correcting it as fast as I could an ensuring all doctors got payments. Metrowest counseling was not understanding, They were not kind, They did not work with us. We were good patients seeing THREE different doctors at their practice. Getting plenty of business from us, always had our copays, always on time. During this nightmare, metro west counseling held my fiances medication prescription hostage until they received payment for the visit in December. I reached out to Karen Freeman, as a therapist, a doctor, a mental health provider, and a human being who I assumed was understanding. When speaking with her she told me she did not care about what was going on with his insurance, the payment was needed immediately, she bluntly told me and I quote, "I'm sorry I just don't BELIEVE you had insurance." I was so shocked I responded asking, you think I'm lying about him having insurance so we can get out of paying you for a visit? She said, "no, no I didn't say that, I think you're misunderstanding his insurance company and you're confused." So she either called me a liar or an idiot, and neither of those are appreciated or appropriate. After that awful conversation where she ended it saying, "I'm sorry I just don't have time for this", and hung up on me I could not get in touch with anyone at that office. I would call and they would say someone would call me back and no one ever did, over and over for weeks. Karen Freemans tone of voice and words were so unkind, and completely void of any empathy. She could not have been more forthcoming about the fact that she does this job ONLY for the money and not at ALL for the patients. I'm an adult who owns her own home but I called my mom and cried after I got off the phone with Karen Freeman. My fiancé went weeks without his meds. FINALLY massachusetts terrible insurance plans fixed their errors and sent payment out to metro west counseling. It felt so good to PROVE to them I wasn't an idiot or a liar as Karen Freeman had so professionally insinuated. Also, Kaylee at the front desk is extremely rude and even before any of this when we were simple paying customers was short and unfriendly, never smiled at me once or made us feel welcome. I have a friend who is a patient there and sees a different doctor not mentioned and agrees, saying Kaylee never makes her feel good when she walks in she's very cold and rude.
