Awsome Hardware!! Like going to the Hartville hardware only closer. LOVE the Popcorn also, & everyone so friendly. The new LED lighting makes the store warm & inviting

Very poor service today. Went in to buy shelving. They had 6 in stock I bought 4 but got no assistance on loading or any assistance to tell me where they were. One person sat on a chair and stared at me while I looked not offering any help. Another "sales" associate laughed at my wife when she asked for help finding the shelves. Metzger's is very lucky this is a small town and their hours work because in my opinion their sales help is horrid. I have had similar experiences there as well.

I've been shopping here for about 4 years and have only had 2 good experiences (both times were with the guys in the plumbing department). Their prices are consistently 5-10% higher than their competition. The ONLY reason I ever shop here is because of their location. The little punk that runs the "service" department needs to be drug outside and thrown into the creek. I dropped off two chainsaw chains for sharpening. He looked at me with disgust, took my first name (no last name or contact info), told me it would be TWO WEEKS and then slunk back into the backroom. He didn't tell me how much it would cost and turned his back on me before I could ask. Prior to that I rented a garden tiller. That time as well he behaved as if I was a giant inconveneince to him. After that he took me to their "shop", pointed at the tiller, and walked out. No demonstration. No walk around. No instruction. No help loading it. The tiller is made in Italy and all the decals are in Italian. The poor mechanic saw what was happening and helped me load it into my truck. I spent an hour trying to teach myself how to use it. My best guess is that the thing is a 2-cycle so I put mix gas in it but who the $%#@ knows for sure. When I came to drop it off again he was extremely rude. No receipt, no walkaround, he didn't even come out from behind the counter he just sneered at me and waddled into the back room again. The nice mechanic wasn't around so I unloaded the thing myself and parked it by the door. I will NEVER deal with their "service" counter again. Some of the other staff are nice and polite, others (particularly the high schoolers) I genuinely doubt could hold down a job at Pizza Hut. Save yourself the grief and frustration and just go to the Ace in Middlebranch. There are some former Metzger's staff working there that are very nice (and seem much happier there).
