Neat little restaurant inside of Detroit airport. The service was good, food presentation was good, taste was great. Price wasn’t too bad for airport food. My colleague and I had an enjoyable lunch. This is one of the better places to eat in the airport.
Grabbed dome dinner here during a layover. Food was good and not overly priced for being in an airport. Draft beer was nice and cold. Service was good and I did not wait long for my food.
I ordered chicken shawarma and when it came it felt like it was a “sampler” before I get my real meal for $16 or so…. I could not even eat as it felt like not well cooked… Worst experience. I could have just going to PFChang just few gates away where I usually eat but wanted a change but very disappointed. When I talked to the manager he just could not do anything…
Had a short stop between flights in the middle of the afternoon and bar service here was great. I had a lamb burger and loved it, substituting the fries for salad at no extra charge :-
Customer service is okay but not spectacular. Food is alright, clean, neat and organized, not so tasty, price is okay for an airport restaurant. The bar tender Joan is good at her job but not necessarily friendly which would have been nice.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
During my DTW layover tonight, I decided to try Mezza for the first time. Despite my arriving toward their closing time, my server was both polite and friendly, and I was seated promptly. I ordered the chicken shawarma and fries, along with a Coke. My meal came out within ten minutes, and I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the wrap's contents and its crispness. Perhaps a little bland, the pickles added some nice zing. The creamy garlic sauce was a bit less than hoped for, perhaps because it was firming up in the fridge, and the fries were hot but could've used some seasoning. The Coke had a bit of a strange after taste, though that could be due to my taste buds being off a bit since I live elsewhere with a different water supply. Overall, a decent place to enjoy a decent meal while in the midst of travel!
Good thing I didn't listen to reviews, wanted to try a Lamb burger and it was really great at this place, patty was juicy and full of flavor, the fries were also above average, was surprised and not disappointed by airport food. I guess most people are in a hurry, and somehow expect some kind of amazing service, all I wanted to do is eat, and don't care if the people are not super friendly.
Wow, bad even for airport food. The tomato basil soup was inexplicably jelly-like and was absolutely molten, so I assume it was microwaved. I immediately burned my mouth on it and will now be regretting visiting this place all week while I can't taste the food in my destination city. I ordered my fries extra crispy and when they came out like 5-10 minutes later they weren't even hot. The soup was okay as a dipping sauce for the fries. The temperatures kinda evened out. The chicken tenders breading was soggy and greasy, but they were edible, I guess.
The only Halal option is chicken shawarma sandwich. With that being said, it's a pretty expensive "sampler". Other than that, they also have beyond burger, flafel, and salmon for pescatarians. I personally went with the pan seared salmon and it was okay but again, I wouldn't pay around $30 for it. Vegetarian options: Beyond burger
Enjoy your mediterranean at DTW! I had fresh salmon with well seasoned potato and veggies. It wasn't salty
