Ok I came from Long Island to buy a 2015 Chevy equinox with 30k miles on it..... Frist the price was unbelievably cheap and the whole process took less than half an hour. The owner was very cool and calm in every single detail being completely transparent and made me feel extremely comfortable. I rate this a five-star car dealership

We just got our 2nd car at MFG Prestige . From the beginning to the end, he was extremely helpful, professional and not pushy. He definitely makes purchasing/leasing a car not intimidating at all and makes the process extremely smooth. He will answer all questions- even the ones you think are stupid and are embarrassed to ask :) Great service and great prices! HIGHLY recommend!!

Have bought 4 cars for my business from Melvyn. During each of the transactions, he has always been professional and is willing to work with you to make the deal work for both parties. Pricing is fair and if there is anything wrong, he works to fix it. Can't ask for more than that when you are buying used vehicles.

I had nothing short of a terrible experience purchasing what turned out to be my 2008 Rav4. I initially bought a 2007 Ford Escape the owner had listed on Craigslist, that he had ‘Checked Out’ by his mechanic. After breaking down because of a failed cooling system not 100 miles from the dealership I got it repaired. Not a week after this the brakes FAILED and I almost drove off the road. My mechanic simply said after inspecting it that it was unsafe and unfit to drive away. Beyond ball joints, sway bars, a rattling crank case and ABS failures, all 4 tires had severe dry rot that made the car extremely dangerous to drive. Melvyn then said he would take the car back but would keep $1,500 for the 2-3K miles I put on it. The entire time I had it, the car was totally unsafe and by NJ law, unfit to sell/drive away. Melvyn said he would make it right so I gave him another shot. He asked me what I was looking for and said he would find an alternative. I should have taken the loss and walked away, but I did not. Without a car and out $6600 at this point I took the bus to Patterson and he showed me what looked like a nice Subaru Outback. I test drove it and this time brought it to another mechanic nearby. The mechanic said the car had severe frame damage and BONDO on the frame. I brought it back and said I would like to walk away. Melvyn then asked for one more shot. I was going on a cross country trip to my wedding in 8 weeks and didn’t have much of a choice. One week before I was to leave he found me a Rav4 that was suitable. On top of paying the top end of Kelly Blue Book for it I was out $1,500 from the Ford escape debacle. Regardless I took the car. When I picked it up they did not have the title. I did not get the title for 6 weeks which meant I had to drive 4000 miles with temporary plates. The sunroof was broken as well and with some coercing he sent it out to get fixed. His associate drove me to the glass shop sharing stories of all the murders all over Patterson then dropped me off at the shop and took off. I went to put the plates on and one of the bolts was sheared off(this meant driving across the country with temp plates TAPED ON.) I got in the car and the sunroof was not working. I had to go ask the mechanic and he said they couldn’t fix it because of a missing part but that I could come back. I came back weeks later and the glass shop said he could not fix it anymore because ‘they don’t deal with Melvyn any longer.’ In the end Melvyn got it fixed at another shop but after several trips to NJ including tolls over the bridges and fuel. All in all I took a very heavy loss, including repairs to the original Ford escape, the loss Melvyn said was the ‘devalue’ of me driving it while it was falling apart, bus tickets, tolls and fuel for 7-8 trips out to Patterson and finally the overpriced car. I would not do business with Melvyn or MFG Prestige Auto Group and advise anyone else from doing so. If you do, be very careful and take the car to your own trusted mechanic that is disassociated with Melvyn and have them be VERY THOROUGH.
