Brag about your school? AP blah blah blah? Is that NBC6 thing a joke? Those programs are new. This school is still a travesty of an institution, where nobody gets a fair chance at developing well. This school is trauma on all ends: horrible lunch, too cold inside, heavy testing. For God's sake, it's a public school. The whole notion that the "magnet program" prepares you for college is silly. Or that you have art classes and "extras". Everybody still has to sit through a boring math class, a boring English class, and be deprived of their soul, in the most dictatorship-like way, plus hear teachers complain about the slow internet in the mornings. To top it all of, we being in Miami, FL vulnerable to global warming and one of the most traffic-congested cities, should have at high schools ecology/environment classes or something like that, *not just one mention of issues in 9th grade science*. Bye. Thank you.

This school is an interesting place there are tons of sports that nobody cares about such as golf and badminton and the most competitive one is shadow boxing.

This school is the worst, for the 4 years I have been here it really does suck, I've only had about 8-10 good teachers out of the 24 I've had, and I can name them down below. All the other teachers are jokes and don't teach at all. You would think this school is only good for the magnet programs but its not, the principal only cares about ram tech and the science biology program, she does not fund anything else. FUN fact the principal was almost fired because she was holding off the school money since she didn't want to spend any of it. She also was 1 month late on the light bill for the school and FPL was mad and calling her like crazy. She has done nothing beneficial for this school except try and make up more rules which doesn't work, this school sugar coats that we are a C or B school but in reality this is ACTUALLY a D school. I do not recommend for any parents to bring their child to this school. It hasn't gotten better, for the past 6-8 years now. And that says a lot since we have stuck with the same principal for now. The security guards especially sharen are very rude, sharen always humiliates you if you are walking in the hallway and she literally screams at you, she treats students as if we are prisoners and criminals. No one takes uniform seriously, the administration and staff do nOT help in the office, and especially all the assistant principal and those who work in the same office as the principal have very nice cars, Lexus, Mercedes, Acura, Porsche. While all the other teachers have decent cars or really old cars. Its obvious to notice who gets more numbers in their checks when they don't even do a good job. I don't think that This school hasnt helped me to be prepared for what college is really like but i had to go and do it myself. The only classes you actually learn in are in Honors or AP , even then some of those honors or ap teacher just tell you to copy from the book and learn on your own and that's "teaching". Now they want to enforce ID's when they never have throughout all the four years I've been here... and if you don't have one they charge you $2 how pathetic. If you want to save you or your child four years of bad experience and jail-like life, then don't go here I wish I never came here and went somewhere else but unfortunately I have siblings and my mom didn't want to waste gas. Teachers that Are actually good that I have had and have heard from other students recommend taking: Mr. Gutierrez Mr. Benitez Mr.Silva Ms.Lovett Mr.Jones Ms. Alonso Mr. Diaz Mr. Sanchez Ms. Herbert Mr. Montesino (AP Art) Mr. Cordova Mr. Formosa (Photoshop) Mr. Toffoli (Communications technology)
