Beware. Do not send your child here. Watered down education. Do not allow the nice area to fool you. They do not care about your children here. The office staff is the most unprofessional people you'll ever meet. They don't adhere to any deadlines and make process for enrollment a hellish experiance. There is also a huge language barrier. It seems spanish is the primary language of the school. It's like sending your child to a school out of the country.

This school... how do I even start? It was horrible! the students are disrespectful and the teachers barely teach at all. I actually had to moved out of mlk8 due to bullying and the school was not willing to take action. The other school Miami Lakes Middle School was much better. I suggest that you don't enroll your child in this school, and if your child is here right now, take them out and put them in a better school.

So much bullying going on in this school, and the administration does absolutely nothing about it. Very disappointed in the way things are being "swept under the rug". my kids will next be returning next year.

Update: the school is now b plus after many years..
As an A+ student WE NEED TO CHANGE THE ALGEBRA TEACHER THERE!!!!!!! The administration won't listen to the hundreds of complaints of this teacher from many parents and students are struggling/suffering to learn. Many of my classmates are depressed, there's so much work and we don't understand him.. THE SCHOOL IS FINE BUT WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS TEACHER. We miss our good teacher that left, Mrs G.

MLK8 is an outstanding school. My son has been in this school for four years and his academic growth has been excellent. The teachers and staff members are very caring, creating a safe learning environment for the students. The principal is very active and visible on campus. The PTS does a great deal of fun activities for the students. The school is a great place for all kids to learn.
