When it incorporated in December 2000, the Town of Miami Lakes became the 31st municipality in Miami-Dade County. Known as one of the youngest cities in the County, Miami Lakes is home to approximately 30,000 residents and more than 1,100 businesses.

Story

Miami Lakes is known as one of the most beautiful residential areas in South Florida for its tree lined streets, large estate lots, and extremely low crime rate.

Over the last 50 years, Miami Lakes has progressed from a dream on paper to a reality. This vibrant community is nationally recognized as one of the best examples of unique and innovative town planning with 23 lakes, 100+ parks and over 200 special events and programs offered to residents of all ages and skill levels.

For residents, all of this means that one can enjoy a quality of life that is second to none - natural scenic beauty and a vibrant cultural environment.
