Mike is one of only three attorneys in Oregon who are Nationally Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification.

Mission

The Law Firm provides legal solutions to debt problems including bankruptcy and a host of non-bankruptcy alternatives. About a third of the people we meet with either do not need bankruptcy or we counsel a more creative solution to their problem.

I have sent about 12 people on to Mr. O'Brien.  All who are able to work with him have said that I am 100% correct in saying that after your first meeting with him, you feel like you have a new lease on life.  You feel as if though you have hope! Wonderful knowledgeable man!!!! You can not go wrong. In fact we filed chapter 13 almost 5 years ago now and have had nothing but issue's in our personal lives continue to arise.  Michael O'brien still works with us and has an answer for everything.  Making us feel great about a fresh start every time we speak with him and he fixes our issues!!! Love him!!!!!

Wow.

I knew far in advance I was going to have to file a chapter 13. So over the course of a year, I consulted with over 6 different BR attorneys, never telling any of them what I had learned from any of my previous consults. All I can say is O'Brien was heads and shoulders above the others in pure professionalism.

My case was not simple. It involved a divorce, a home plumbing business, and other assets, and his systematic approach to dealing with everything I handed to him continually put me at ease. If you do your part and provide him with all the needed information, he will make the other BR attorneys look like chumps with his efficiency. I am so grateful I stumbled upon him. You never want to need an attorney, but if I ever do, he is now my go to.

Mike O'Brien was there to help me through one of the toughest periods of my life.  He guided me through the process and made an uncomfortable event as comfortable as it could be.  It is hard to find good people that have your back, that see you and your family as more than dollar signs.  Mike and his firm are good people.  They earn their money by helping you, and I never felt I was taking on something by myself.  I recommend Michael O'Brien to anyone that is looking for the help he can provide.  You will not find a better bankruptcy attorney.

O brien and associates helped me with the world's most complicated bankruptcy case. They have been nothing but accommodating and helpful in every way. The paralegal (bob) is one of the best people to deal with while undergoing such a stressful situation.
