My kids have been patients of Dr. Gordon for over five years. We were on Spring Break last week, and unfortunately, got delayed on our trip home due to inclement weather. As a result, we needed to reschedule our appointment for today. When I called the office, I was told that I could not bring the kids back for three years, since the office was not given 36 hours notice before rescheduling out appointment. It is unbelievable that Dr. Gordon so carelessly rejects long time customers and patrons of his business over a "policy." But, after reading the other reviews on Google and receiving the deplorable treatment, I don't suspect his business will continue to thrive. Please take your children to a dentist who values customer service and client retention. CLEARLY, Dr. Gordon and his staff are not the optimal selection.

We had a very unpleasant experience at our appointment today. It was the first ever official dentist appointments for my 4 and 6-year-old. I was referred to Dr. Gordon by my preferred pediatric dentist who was not available through my insurance, so I trusted their recommendation versus looking up reviews. I so wished I would have read all of these before today. The office was so tiny and out-of-date with no space for children or their families. The staff was in no way pleasant or welcoming knowing this was my children's first ever visit. I was so surprised. When we walked back to the main area, it was literally four chairs sharing the same common space with absolutely no privacy for the patient or families. The equipment and chairs look like they were from the 1950s, ripped, uncomfortable and just all out terrible. The Dentist never once took off his mask to introduce himself or say hi. My daughter was so scared of him as he walked up. He didn't introduce himself to me and did nothing to help my children understand what was going on. It was so horrible. As I asked questions, he seemed so uninterested in answering. He just said bring them back in 6 months. NO WAY! He even commented to the fact that I should bring back my daughter separately so she can get acclimated to the environment, since she was scared and cried a bit. First off, I'm a single mom with two kids, and don't have the luxury of taking one child at a time. Secondly, his environment was terrible, so I understood why she was upset. I felt so uncomfortable there and will never be going back.

I have lived in the US for 30 years. In those 30 years I have never experienced prejudicism like what I am about to explain until yesterday. My husband took my younger daughter to Michael L Gordon, DMD on Springdale Rd. for a cleaning. Since this is his first time there, he wasn't sure of which of the 5 different offices to come in. Well, he came into this doctor's office two times and was told it wasn't there. The lady in the front, after my husband and kid were 7 minutes of standing there and beign ignored, claimed that my daughter was not in the system, even though he showed her the confirmation text that was sent to us. He gave her the two medical cards that we have, (medical and dental) with her name on it. Her attitud hindered her performance. She couldn't figured out that the child had two last names and she was looking at the maternal name and not the paternal name. Finally, he was told to go home because he could not read English and come back with an interpreter next time. I understand there are papers to fill in. My point was, that she was not helpful what so ever! It was black or white for her. I decided to go and pay the office a vist after work. As I was explaining to Dr. Michael Gordon the whole situation his words were these, "This is not the right place for you!" He just defended his secratary's actions and never tried to accomodate us or find ways to make the situation better. I feel that the staff and doctor are very unproffesional. They are prejudice and descrimate against latino population. They are not willing to help you unless you look or speak like them! They brush you away and encourage you to find another place to take your child! It is very sad to run into people like this! Please do not support this business or their horrific actions. ****Please share so that others know about the mistreatment of non-english people. ****

I was searching for pediatric dentist for my 4 year old and came across this place on Google. Bad memories flashed in my head and also felt the need to leave my review years later... I brought my now 11 year old daughter here about 4 years ago, her previous dentist told us she needed a couple fillings but we moved from Eastgate to morrow so we had to find a new close dentist to have them done. Very standard procedure so I didn’t think too much about hard research. I knew we’d be moving back toward Eastgate and it would only be for 1 procedure. I wish I would’ve made that 40 min drive.... We came into the office for fillings, the office was so outdated and smelled like mold and dust. The receptionist was extremely rude. We went back to the room which was a small room with 4 orange ripped dental chairs that I was afraid to even touch. They told me that due to a lack of space, I wasn’t even allowed back there with my daughter (huge red flag!) my daughter isn’t afraid of the dentist at all and told me it was fine so I stood in the doorway and watched them work on her. Dr Gordon started asking for things from hygentist that were across the room, behind the desk, and very loudly yelling and cussing! “Can I get the damn “thing” already!” Etc He was yelling this while working on my daughter!!! I immediately started talking to HR as flipping out. She was numb with a drill in her mouth so I couldn’t really stop the procedure. HR told me that it’s their policies and parents aren’t allowed back and if I wasn’t comfortable with Mr Gordons “practices” then it’s best I wasn’t a patient...in those exact words. My only response was “you took the words right out of my mouth!!” I can’t belive this place hasn’t been shut down and clearly he hasn’t changed a bit. I still cringe when I drive past this place. It’s worth no more than extra storage space for Mr Lock or whatever that storage place is called. Yuck.

It's been 5 years since our appointment and I still feel passionate enough to write a review. At the time, this office was the only pediatric dentist in network with my insurance. I felt something was off as I sat in the waiting room and began looking up reviews on my phone. I read enough horror stories that I contemplated walking out, but had taken the day off of work and decided to see the first appointment through. It was a nightmare from beginning to end. They do not accomadate parents or fearful children at all. At first, 5 year old son was hesitant to use the archaic bite wings for his x rays and they wouldn't let me try to soothe him or put on a cover and hold his hand. They just said too bad and we went without after a 2 minute attempt. Dr Gordon didn't acknowledge me or my children when it was his time to check their teeth. For my 4 year old daughter, they threw a metal contraption in her mouth without warning when she wouldn't hold her jaw open wide enough during a routine checkup. She thrashed her head and bawled not knowing what was going on and they just went about business as usual. Then when they wanted to schedule fillings for my son, they told me I couldn't be in the room (which looked like an old closet) during treatment. I felt very uncomfortable and never went back. It left a lasting impression on both my children and myself. Since then we have been at Dr Lambert where every step is pleasant and my children look forward to going.
