I have treated with Dr. Malotte many times over many years for allergies, throat and ear issues. He is very professional. He listens and explains. He is careful when it comes to surgery, and does not rush into it. So, I do not understand the other critical post. The one time I needed medication, he was more careful explaining side-effects than any MD I have dealt with. He took great care of my son as well. Highly recommend him.

He's only concerned with using you to milk the insurance companies! Stay away!

In my experience, Dr. Malotte is more concerned with his comfort than the health of his patients. I saw him in October, after several Primary care physicians told me I needed my tonsils out. He told me he didn't want to do surgery because he was afraid of complications after surgery killing me. Fatal complications from tonsillectomies are very rare. Dr. Malotte insisted I have a sleep study. I saw him in October, November, and by January he still hadn't done anything for me. In the mean time, I had tonsillitis 11 times and strep throat 4 times, along with antibiotic treatments every time. He still refused to do surgery. I found another doctor in Atascadero, and by the time Dr. Malotte contacted me a month after my sleep-study, I was recovering from surgery from my new Otolaryngologist.
