The certified nurse midwives at Midwifery Care of Holyoke are experts in normal labor and delivery and well woman care. Working within their personalized, family-centered model, midwives work in close partnership with Holyoke Medical Center's team of obstetricians, gynecologists and The Birthing Center staff.

Midwives respect women’s choices, avoid unnecessary cesarean sections and interventions and blend loving support with evidence-based medicine for women throughout the life cycle.

On call 24/7, they practice the art and science of midwifery, caring for women at annual well woman visits (pap test, breast exam, diet, exercise, lifestyle, birth control), pre-conception counseling, fertility management (including artificial insemination), labor and childbirth and menopause.

Staff is pretty helpful, but unknowledgable. They are pretty good about helping you get an appointment and seeing you as quickly as they can. However they push for their clients to get the copper IUD and don't tell warn you of side effects. Here it's more about pushing you out the door just as quickly as you walked through it.

I'm glad I can feel comfortable for my age as a patient here and no matter what the issue they're always a call away. They're very fast and organized, always there with advice and after awhile they become a second family. Very kind nurses and very into their work from what I've seen. I used to be nervous going but not that long after I felt everyone there began to remember me and help me feel comfortable and open. I still go there for my midwife appointments and I will continue everyone there is just lovely.

I have been going to this place for the past nine months and I loved it everyone was so nice and friendly I only had one bad experience with one of the midwives Mary and I only seen her once from the beginning of my pregnancy until now and today I happened to get her again... just like last time she was rude and disrespectful and asked so many personal questions that were way out of line and said many comments that were both uncomfortable rude and just completely uncalled for. Once I have my daughter I think I might look for another place for my obgyn appointments and any future pregnancy appointments... this was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any doctor. This midwife has no sense of compassion or sympathy or bedside manner with patients and this is the second time that I've dealt with her and it's the same type of experience as last time.

I've been going here for 8years all midwives are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing.... I still use them as ob gyn I wouldn't have it any other way.
