Finally, I made it to Mike's Cigar shop. My white whale of cigar shop stops. He's the setup with 13 minutes left before closing I sprinted down North Frwy and made it inside with 5 minutes to spare note: when I asked was there a real Mike, I was told I missed him by 5 minutes-must be nice to be the boss. Located in a strip mall and with signage that tower overhead, I entered Mike's expecting a lush mahogany wood paneled lounge with marble-all NYC downtown with Michelle Priefer laying on top of a piano. But, what I got was a rustic space reminiscent of a old pair of worn cowboy booths. The public smoking lounge were the two rooms that made the shop, but no worries, there were a few comfortable couches a d leather chairs-we can make that work. The staff was friendly and let me do a last minute viewing of the shop and humidor. I quickly sprinted inside a humidor that appeared to be twice the size of the outer room, but upon review, was an "L" shaped humidor with many ultra and premium brands. There was just enough to see a lot, but not enough you gave up of exhaustion searching the shelves.  The cigar gods would be pleased with Mike's. I can't shake the feeling it was like driving to the gas station in Mayberry and Golmer filling your car up, but while you waited to make you feel at home as you wait offered you a smoke and a pop. Although, Mike's way out of my way.  Like Mayberry, I was glad to have passed through and thus I recommend it as a cigar bar of note in Houston.

Love the atmosphere,price, and selection. Would recommend this shop for the friendly customer service versus the guys too big to learn your name. Thank you, love your recommendations.

Excellent cigar shop with extremely helpful personnel. They have many events where you can meet manufacturers to learn more about their cigars. They also host training sessions to help you understand how cigars are made and what produces different tastes. I was new to cigars when coming to Mike's and they have been very patient in helping me to find cigars that meet my tastes. Highly recommend this business!

Terrible customer care....Place not recommended! I have nothing to do with all you are saying. As a matter of fact take a look of all 1 stars you guys have! You don't know how to be respectful and treat customers. More than 4 paleople saying same through the years can talk a LOT about you guys!

Mike's Cigar Room is wonderful. They have a wide selection of high quality cigars, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I have never encountered a dry cigar in their well-maintained humidor. I highly recommend stopping by.

Starting coming to this place two weeks ago. Just a novice in cigars but have found it very enjoyable and relaxing. The people there are very friendly and very helpful in the process of choosing great cigars to accommodate my taste. Would recommend this to anyone and I will continue to purchase from there.  Had to follow up. Started with my new hobby and visit here once a week. Everyone there is so helpful and friendly. I can't speak highly enough.

Mike and Nancy have been in the cigar business for decades and know more about cigars then anyone. Their staff is always very helpful. I have shopped with them now for 20 years in the woodlands area and 10 years before that when they had a cigar store in the tunnels below downtown Houston.  I recommend you skip buying your cigars at liquor stores and the groceries and instead visit Mike’s for an awesome experience!

Called ahead to reserve some cigars I’ve been looking for. Owner said he would set them aside, “No problem”. Had my friend drive 30 minutes to pick them up for me. When he got there, the owner says they sold them. In my opinion that’s a pretty sorry thing to do.  Update: Someone representing the store responded to my Facebook review & this review and blatantly lied trying to make it our fault they failed to hold the reservation. After replying with time stamps exposing the lie, I received an impressively apathetic, “sorry you’re disappointed.”

This is a nice spot. They have a good selection to choose from. It was my first time purchasing a cigar and the owner was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend
