Mike's landscaping and General Contracting Co Inc made my property look gorgeous. My concrete patio was cracked and broken and not level with the rest of my yard. He came in and leveled the yard and built a beautiful retaining wall. He also installed a PVC fence. He rebuilt my patio with the most beautiful pavers. He excavated my driveway and installed a drainage system to resolve my water issues and paved my driveway. The men were very professional, the work was done in a timely manner. The quality of the work was far superior to anything I have seen from other contractors. And the price was very competive. I would highly recommend Mike' Landscaping and General Contracting in Malden Ma.  If I could give this review 10 Stars I would. DJS

Mike's Landscaping & General Contracting Co. did an outstanding job with my cleanup.  My husband had a recent surgery and was unable to do any of the yard work.  All our landscaping work was backed up and my yard was a complete mess. I called Mike for an estimate and he was out the very next day.  I signed with him and a crew was out the following day.  They were incredible.  They finished in a single day and when they were done it looked like my yard had been maintained for months.  They went over and above what was asked of them and really did a beautiful job.  My neighbors all asked me what company did the work and I referred them all to Mike's Landscaping.  So I just felt compelled to right a review letting everyone know that if they are looking for an efficient, honest and meticulous landscaper that Mike's Landscaping & General Contracting is the way to go.  Thank you Mike!

Mike's Landscaping has a years long problem with planting new trees throughout the Malden and Medford area. They plant new trees in what is called a "mulch volcano" which is extremely detrimental to ALL trees. This means the trees are surrounded by a very thick layer of mulch, the soil is not dethatched before, just the mulch loaded up high around the tree for appearances. This causes the tree roots to grow in a round-about fashion at soil level, not growing deep down as normal. The trees suffer drought and disease. Most young trees planted in this fashion do not grow and thrive. You will see trees throughout the north shore this summer planted by Mike's in this way. Please be aware of this technique before hiring this contractor.  I contacted Mike about these practices  and he was rude, belligerent and took offense. Buyer Beware. Also, I intend to contact  in the N.S. many DPW's and mayor's to enlighten and educate them of these practices. It is costly to the cities, homeowners and the environment. Thank you for reading.

Make sure you get everything in writing as Mike will not return calls when it comes to service after the job. He's quick to show up for estimates, but good luck trying to get him back if you are not happy with the job. I should have listened to other people who said be careful hiring Mike's.  I Would never recommend him.
