Mike's Plumbing Company in Weslaco have saved me from some pretty ugly plumbing situations. Three times is a charm, I had to go through two other plumbing companies that were a nightmare. Mike's in Weslaco have always been professional and honest with the work. They have always given the price up front and I feel the prices have been fair. I have used them twice and have not regretted calling them. Will call again for future catastrophes!

Called him and he was here at the time he said and fixed the problem immediately. Very impressed with the promptness and service. Am recommending him to others in our mobile/rv park.

Five Star service! My water heater went out in the morning and Victor of Mikes finished replacing it the same day! on a Friday!. I am very impressed!

called him as he was only plumber listed on google maps. also a guy in rv park said try him. mike came out that morning to look at my job. says he can do the job. what's the price? oh, don't worry about that now, he replies. we go to Central Electric and Plumbing Co on Airport Drive, just up the street. They only had a Moen faucet of my style. while mike rattled on and on with his cronies there, i went ahead to buy the unit and get it installed. i kept asing about the rate charge with no answer. the faucet was almost $300, and home depot has them for just over $100!! went back to my house. he proceeded to install the moen fixture. i opened packages for him, handed him tools, figured some things out for him. but he had to call his son to "help" when i could have handed him the parts myself. i suspect mike wanted his son to make some money that day. so his son got an extra "by the hour" charge while mike continued to shoot the breeze. still no answer on price per hour or service call. son put in four flex hoses, and mike charged 36 dollars for them, whereas lowe's charges 8 dollars. when i asked mike why so expensive, he said he has to add tax and overhead, etc. i said where is the discount for the faucet? he said there is no discount. then i find out he charges $58.50 an hour for the work. plus tax. so i said you already charged tax and overhead on the 36 dollar flex hoses, and your hourly rate must include tax. he woudn't budge. mike suggested i call moen and order the replacement cartridge, as they often go out of order. i asked why install an expensive faucet when you know it's going to go bad, when i could have gotten something for 1/3 the price at lowe's. he said, oh, moen quality is the best! but parts are known to go out on moens???? so the bill for the work done, and the time he spent cleaning up blood from his fragile skin off my walls, outdoor walls, carpet and rugs, shooting the breeze with me while his son fiddled with the $34 flex hose connectors being paid $58.50 an hour. and he had to tell me stories about his non-sexual spouse, which i kept trying to change the subject, but he kept wanting to talk about it. he called the next morning pestering me to give me fresh limes. i suspect he wanted to start more work on my house, and to continue tellling me about his non-sexual wife... he did do the job right, and he did it that morning. if he was so busy, he would not have been available. if he was in demand, he would not have been available at the last minute. wonder why he's not busy? nor his son? maybe word got around about his mark-ups and labor practices? who knows?
