One of the best date night places in Gainesville for really fresh, delicious upscale food options presented so artistically we had to take pictures first! Also the setting is intimate and the wine pairings perfect which made for a really memorable evening.

Went for the Thanksgiving pre fixe dinner, and was impressed be the quality and wonderful flavors. Highly recommended.😋

Just make sure to go to the regular restaurant and not the 5 course bar dinner. We go to Mildred's all the time and wanted to try their bar dinner. 1 course was good 1 was okay the other three terrible and bland. The chef comes out at the end and gives a lackadaisical summary of what he made. The last course he just said "well that was cake" no explanation of the filling. It seemed like he didn't want to be there and the food was not worth the $130 we paid. The theme was Italian but only 3 courses were Italian. The cake was a chiffon Swiss roll of which chiffon is American origin and Swiss roll is Austrian. Also, I emailed Mildred's multiple times and they even confirmed by reservation a few days prior, not one time did they say the dinner price increased. We realized when we got the bill there is fine print that says they can change the price of the dinner from their normal price at will. I thought that was unprofessional. I would rate Mildred's lunch a 5*, dinner 4* and their bar dinner 1*.

Amazing food and cakes! We have been to Mildred’s many times over the past 12 or more years. Their cakes are so pretty and decadent; every time we go there we have to get a slice of cake (sometimes will stop by on the way home from work just to buy a slice of cake to go). We knew we wanted delicious cake for our wedding so we chose to go with Mildred’s. We wanted our favorite one, the Italian Espresso. It’s a delicious cake with heavy fillings so we knew they couldn’t be stacked to make a tiered cake. That didn’t matter to us though; we just wanted to eat delicious cake. The cakes were outstanding! Our wedding guests loved the cake and kept asking about the delicious fillings. April at Mildred’s was so helpful throughout the process, answered all of our questions and gave us great advice for how to store and serve them at our venue. They also delivered our cakes to our venue (which was so helpful) and setup our cake topper too! We can’t wait to go back in to Mildred’s to get some more cakes; hands down one of the best cakes we’ve ever had!

Lucked out with a slow Saturday evening, stumbled across Mildred's and definitely will make a return trip. The salmon was amazing, the kale pure totally unexpectedly delicious and perfectly paired. Other members with us had the filet and the gnocchi which were both amazing. The deserts....well I can only say they were practically worth the trip alone. The chocolate truffle and express cake were what we had between 4 of us and look forward to picking something else next time.
