This is my go-to when I’m craving a Chicago-style hot dog. And that’s often. Toss in a combo including an Italian beef sandwich and hot giardiniera and you got yourself a gut buster before you have even touched the great fries! Plus, you have to love a place that makes fresh lemonade. If you’re looking for a taste of Chicago, this is the spot.
I have been coming to this place often for its happy hour deal M-F 3-5. The Chicago dog is awesome, and the cheese fries with hot peppers are a must try
It’s a good hotdog stand. Their Italian beef isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s what you expect and hits the spot. Good service. $11 for just and Italian Beef sandwich. Has parking.
Great, no frills hotdog shop. I don't know the context of Chicago dogs or Italian Beef so I can't remark on whether it takes like real Chicago cuisine. But I did enjoy my hog dog and fries which came out very quickly and tasted delicious!Food: 5/5
The Chicago Dogs are awesome and have that snap in them that I love plus the beef sandwich is something that you'll only find at this place. The staff is always happy and friendly too. I'm a big fan of the Mile High Vienna Stand.Food: 5/5
It's good when open, but employees tend to close early fairly often. Today the store had lights on but doors locked and closed before 4:40. Tried to call, but wasn't answering phones either. Employee just standing there didn't seem to care, maybe quiet quitting. Another customer had tried to get in when I arrived and another pulling in as I was leaving. Surprising that they just throw business away like that.
Yay. My new Italian beef spot. The dogs and fries were pretty slamming too. Portions were a bit small for the price. Made me feel like is was back in the city.Food: 5/5
Easy conversations. Straightforward menu. Convenient parking. Dank foodFood: 5/5
This used to be one of my favorite spots in Denver. Sadly, I just had an inexcusably horrible meal. The fries were like canned shoe strings. I got a handful of super thin fries that were only about 3/4" long on average. I thought maybe it was a fluke until I got home and opened the hot dog. 2 miniature tomato slices the size of a thumb nail, ONE sport pepper, and maybe 1/8 of a teaspoon of relish, maybe like, it'd be hard to put less relish on a spoon without using a tweezers. Then it got worse. The bun was so stale, I could knock it on the table. I threw it in the trash. This was 41 minutes after they opened, so its not like they were running out of ingredients. The worst part is that people are going to eat this trash and think this is what a chicago style hot dog stand serves. I assure you, it is not. What a bummer. Used to be such a great place.
The BEST spot. Authentic CHI food cooked perfectly. Clean, cozy, & inviting atmosphere. Friendly staff. A must-stop whenever I'm down in Denver.Food: 5/5
