Story

Our founder, "Big Mike" Liautaud, had a big idea but not a lot of dough. So in 1989, he opened a single sandwich shop in the Big Ten town of Madison, Wisconsin.

Who knew one small store named Big Mike's (now Milio's Sandwiches) would lead to dozens more? Well, actually Big Mike did. He had a hunch anyway. After all, he was making the best-tasting sandwiches in the Midwest. College students loved ‘em. So did moms, kids and the occasional buttoned-up businessman. Even rock stars snapped up Big Mike's delicious subs. In fact, our man Big Mike became somewhat of a "sandwich maker to the stars," taking his subs backstage to satisfy the appetites of innumerable rock bands and their entourages, as well as, NFL teams.

Somewhere along the line, we got the idea to rename ourselves Milio's. Sort of a combination of Mike and Liautaud, in honor of the sage of sandwich making.

That's about it. History was never our favorite class anyway. We'd much rather just go to lunch. Why not join us? We'll make you a sandwich just the way you like it. Just like we've been doing for our customers for more than 25 years.

I ordered the Longhorn, and it came with literally 3 deli-thin slices of beef. It was absolutely comical when I opened the sandwich (because it felt light), and I see the most poorly portioned sub on the planet. Again with the sandwich, the slice of tomato was so thin it was transparent, and the amount of bread in the sandwich was literally ten times the amount of meat. I will never again in my life order from Milios, and if you have any self respect you won't either. EDIT: I just realized the sandwich actually has onion on it--one paper-thin strand on each half, and those too are transparent. Also the bread is clearly store bought, not toasted or anything. Seriously the best part of this meal was the jalapeno chips and the soda.

I ordered a sub the other night online. I then got a call saying it would be 10 min because they needed to bake the bread. I said that was fine but then 55 minutes later I call to check on my sub that was already 45 minutes late and Chris offers no apologies and informs me there were a lot of deliveries and it should be to my house soon. The driver got there about 15 minutes later and apologies for the mishap. She gave me a coupon for a $3 super sub. I tried to use the coupon last night and was informed by Chris that the coupon expired a year ago. When he asked me how I got it I told him I got it a couple of days ago when my sub was over an hour late. I was so upset I walked away from the counter subless! They really need to check their managment!

I walked in just for bread. The employee was texting on his phone while sitting down. I waited 5 minutes. Had to say hey. Then he acted like if I was bothering him. Rude service here.

Just got a delivery order from here, 2nd time in about 2 to 3 weeks. Always loved the subs. This time and last time we ordered, they forgot to put Mayo on the Skinny Pride sandwiches that we ordered. We even checked the "Add Mayo" button on the website when ordering! Come on guys, when someone pays for something, they deserve to get it. My wife even emailed the last time it was forgotten and no one ever responded! Real nice...

My wife ordered a blt, it came with cold bacon, and dry bread, she was expecting the bacon at least microwaved, and maybe the bread toasted. My #8 was okay, but a little heavy on the mustard. For $19 just expected a little more
