I'm beginning to think all Ace Hardware stores are required by their franchise agreements to have cats in-store. :) Ace is definitely the place if you need *hardware* - screws/nuts/bolts/washers/bearings/standoffs/cotter pints/etc/etc/etc and most of it in metric and/or stainless.

The cat rocks. (The people were cool, too). Such a great alternative to the huge stores...locally owned, great people, store cat. What more could you ask for?

Great alternative to the massive big box hardware stores! Very good service and surprisingly solid selection, and much easier for a quick shopping trip than a visit to Home Depot or Lowe's.

Out of the five keys I have had made there, only one car key worked out of three. Then I tried the two mailbox keys and one wouldn't even go in. Foolishly, I thought the one key that did go in was actually turning in the lock, but it wasn't, it was twisting in half. I called them and they said it was my fault. Go figure, the Helpful Hardware Place. Tried to reach the owner, but no answer. Now I can't get my mail. These people are ridiculous. Their keys are such cheap quality, that a 67 year old woman with severe arthritis in her hands, supposedly was strong enough to break the key off. No mention that they probably use the cheapest brass possible AND but for the fact that none of the keys were able to open this lock, this never would have happened. Do not get keys made at ACE because the same thing has happened to me before. I thought moving to a different city 600 miles away, would be different, but nope, same stuff. By the way they are NOT members of the BBB and it is easy to see why.
