The Milton Library is part of the Santa Rosa County Library System - named Library System of the Year in the State for 2008.

Mission

The purpose of this organization shall be to foster closer relations between the Milton Public Library and the citizens of Milton and environs; to promote knowledge of the functions, resources, services, and needs of the Library; to lead in the development of a program for the extension and improvement of the Library services and resources; and to aid in the provision of adequate housing and other facilities for the Library.

I love the librarians, but I wish they had longer hours.

Had a run in with a librarian who wasn't able to tell me what books my 14 year old autistic brother checked out a book at some point, but couldn't tell me why I was responsible (I wasn't living here at the time he would have gone) and just shrugged her shoulders at me. Nice to know this town is just as bad as I remember

Although the Librarians are very helpful and nice, the hours of operation could really use some attention. I came from up North and this is the smallest library I have ever seen and the hours are almost impossible to work around.

Greatest library in the world!!!! The librarians are top notch and very polite and courteous. And the movies you can borrow are a bonus. Lol

I have been a lot of city libraries and this on was like a one room shambleshack, old useless books lined the shelves, about 6 out of date (late 1990s) computers for online use, but the staff was helpful and courteous. They do have a genealogy section, very limited though.
