Hiwot is awesome! I've had 2 experiences with hair salons. Once got my hair chopped off after asking for Shirley temple curls in my teens , the other time asked for Marley twists and the woman completely ignored my request, just a few yrs ago. My sister brought me to Mimi's and I'm hooked! I have had natural hair for 12+ yrs and wouldn't consider going any where else when I want my hair straightened.

The prices are affordable enough. The place was a little hard to find, the entrance is actually behind Rainbows, by the mall entrance. The ambience was relaxing and welcoming. Personally I don't mind when people speak a language I don't understand so, I just relaxed and let them take care of me. The place could be cleaner though (will bring my own hair tools next time).

Mimi is great at styling, color and cuts. She is my go to stylist ever since I knew about her.

It's was and amazing experience for me, my hair never looked better. The key is knowing exactly what you want. Even if you have too show example by photo, it's worth it!
