A nice  place to go hiking. As you hike you get to learn and see history of where you are. Great place for those history buff/hikers. A place where I will go back over and over with many trails. And still be amazed every time  at what I see and learn. A must got

Beautiful, peaceful hike with a few trails for various levels of difficulty. Great to take your dogs. Also fun to stop along the way and learn about the history of the mines that were once there.

Very cool little spot.  Lots of history to the old mining days.  A real highlight on our trip was a clear blast of cold air from the mine (which is sealed off) that was 40+ feet away while hiking.  One of my favorite hiking spots in Western CT.  River views but bring bug spray.

A trip back to mining in CT. Old mine entrances visible on the hike up and giant cages protecting the vent shafts on top. Amazing woods adventure!

A fairly intense hike if you take the longer way. Very beautiful though, and interesting to walk around and see the past facility.
