In 2005, the NBC show "Three Wishes" with Amy Grant granted the wish of a young girl, Nicole Donant, for a library in the village of Mineral City, OH. The Friends of the Mineral City Nicole Donant Library were created to meet the financial needs of the library. Our Friends meet the first Mon. of every month.
OUR MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT THE USE OF THE MINERAL CITY NICOLE DONANT LIBRARY BY THE COMMUNITY.
OUR VISION IS FOR THE LIVES OF THE COMMUNITY TO BE ENRICHED BECAUSE OF THE RESOURCES MADE AVAILABLE TO THEM THROUGH THE LIBRARY. OUR LIBRARY IS HERE FOR THE SOUL PURPOSE TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY.
Our Fundraisers include our yearly Membership Drives, Holiday Quilt Raffle, Atwood Fall Festival and Algonquin Book Sales. on-going Spring and Summer Book Sales, Book Fairs, participation in Twist of Mineral City and many other events.
