Love this zoo! We've had a family membership for a couple of years now and it is one of our favorite outings to go to. Great staff and it is pretty clean! They have good indoor exhibits for winter time, and fantastic outdoor exhibits for summer months! When it's hot, there's a stomp pad for the kiddos to keep cool. Always a joy bringing the kids here!

My daughter loves the zoo, the zoo and exhibits are kept in really good condition. It's fun seeing all the animals. Plenty of warm areas inside in the winter. Getting a yearly membership with a toddler is a great idea. Pays for itself within months, getting the membership also gets you a 10% discount at the store and free parking. If you visit once and like it, you can put your daily pass fee towards a yearly membership too.

I've been to a lot of zoos, in and out of state, and this one is still my favorite. The area that the Minnesota Zoo owns is pretty large, so many of the animals have decent sized enclosures. I also like the way the zoo is set up. Very educational and I appreciate the work the Minnesota Zoo does. They have pretty good food too. Concerts are sometimes held here, which is pretty cool. I just wish that they had a reptile room.

Pros: Great for kids, bring your own food/drinks, lots to see and do. Cons: $$$, long/poorly laid out. This place has everything. Beautiful, healthy animals, an aquarium with a stingray petting tank, a great mix of indoor/outdoor exhibits, lots of places to stop and eat/rest, multiple playgrounds and sections of exhibits tailored to the little explorer, cool shows, BYOF/D, and much more. $7 to park? Are you kidding me with this? You will already be dropping $100 to take your family here even if you do bring all of your own food and drinks. Paying for parking when you don't really have any other choice is insulting. Make sure that you have good shoes because this place is long and poorly laid out. If you want to see the farm exhibit, you're walking over a mile 1 way. And much of the park doesn't loop so you end up walking over the same old ground to get back. Makes you wish that monorail was still working, but they'd likely charge you to do that too.

Always happy to bring the family to the zoo. Bought the annual family pass which was very reasonably priced and included parking. We have gone a few times now this year and have realized that you need to get there early as you won't have time to see all the exhibits before they close if you doing. It is amazing how large of a place it is and there is so much to see. Would recommend to all.
